In today, we can see video in yutube, we can search way to go somewhere by using google map, and also we can send a mail by g-mail in our smart phone. What’s common thing in those things? Yes, they are related to google, the one of the most famous search engine in the world. There are many other things that google can provide with to us. How can google provide such many things? The answer is bigdata. Google have so much data because they are one of the most famous search engine. And they also have technology that can analyze complex data such as video , contents in text. By those things, google could go first in bigdata innovation. At first, google’s service such as free maps, buying yutube was seen as useless things to make money. however, as google can use datas on those things, those useless things are the important points in bigdata innovation. From now on, we see how google use that datas so interestingly., and practically, and how they improve their data platform and also they make people utilize big data by their ‘big query’. And what we can learn about from their innovative activity in bigdata era.
Google do a lot of interesting projects using bigdata to change lifes of people One of the most interesting things that google use bigdata is ‘google translate’. In past, there were many trying to make high quality machine translator. In 1990s, ‘Candide project’ done by IBM failed as they use so small data that can be said ‘million’ and only use neat text data. However, from 2003 to today, google’s translate project have colleted so much data that can’t be said even by ‘billion’ in their web environment. By that much data, ‘google translate’ even translate language over one hundred, and also translate language in voice. th...

...ue from the things seen as meaningless. As students of liberal arts, we should see the other possibility in objects. Google catch innovative possibility from just flying datas. Then, once seeing the possibility, we should be able to invest our efforts to those possibility. Although in now those things is useless, and we don’t know what we are doing, we should do our efforts to the possibilities, and find meaning in the act and find the answer continuously.
Those attitude is needed to live in bigdata era as we find meaning and act on that datas. In our life, we have to focus on that attitude as that attitude can teach us many things and the meaning in our own is more important than just failure or success. The big data era is coming, maybe the message in the mega trend is to find meaning in seemingly meaningless things, and do your own meaningful acts in your life.
The characteristics of this unstructured data are high in volume, high velocity, or high variety and complexity. Big data comes from sensors, devices, video/audio, networks, log files, transactional applications, web, and social media - much of it generated in real time and in a very large scale.
Value. Value is what matters to a person i.e. how valuable big data is to one.
After understanding the possible outcomes and usages of Big Data Mining and Analytics, the study of the process is necessary to identify the real possibilities behind this techniques and how this can improve a business performance. To do this; we should comprehend the basics about data mining and the process that leads from pure data to insights.
Big Data has gained massive importance in IT and Business today. A report recently published state that use of big data by a retailer could increase its operating margin by more than 60 percent and it also states that US health care sector could make more than $300 billion profit with the use of big data. There are many other sectors that could profit largely by proper analysis and usage of big data.
The creativity and ingenious of human beings has enabled the development of technologies that have overall, benefited all of mankind. Arguably one of the most if not the most pivotal man made technological achievement is that of the internet. The internet has allowed for the seeming less transfer of data and information in a matter of seconds. With this innovation has come an increase in communication, enhancement of understanding other cultures, and a mass gathering of data. The amount of data now in existence due to the internet has created the need for big data. Big data has developed as a solution to the traditional computer infrastructure that has become obsolete due to its inability to handle the massive amounts of data now in existence. The benefits of big data are ever expanding and attractive as it can improve the efficiency of companies, research, health sciences yet, the consequences of using big data are just as intensifying and are causing some backlash in many communities. The current issues surrounding big data and the increasingly dependent nature of the world’s people on big data will undoubtedly impact the use of big data in the future.
Big Data has become very popular now-a-days, because of the unlimited data coming from various sources and is difficult to handle by data base management systems. As the information that is gathered from different sources is very large and complex, it has become complex and not easy to process all the information through traditional way of data processing. And here it comes big data into a picture. It’s one of the most popular technologies which have its applications in almost every field. This paper explores the value of real time big data in education, and health care. “Big Data is when your data becomes so large that you have to start innovating how to collect, store, organize, analyze and share it”. (Gobble, MaryAnne M., 2013)
As the Big Data era advances, the significance of data is changing. In addition to supporting business decisions and transactions, data is often now the good being traded, as companies begin to grasp the seemingly boundless potential value inherent in the data itself. Decreasing storage costs combined with the ability to collect data passively (through technological progress) mean that many companies are finding it easier to justify preserving the data rather than discarding it once its primary function h...
The key strategy implementation efforts at Amazon all surround the use of “big data”. Big data is the growth and availability of large volumes of structured/unstructured data. The use of big data has allowed decision making based upon data and analysis instead of past experience and intuition. Big data has directed organizational change in allowing Amazon to expand from an online book store to an internet giant. Revolutionary application of big data has allowed Amazon to create superior service quality while motivating employees by providing real time information to solve customer issues. Big data has strengthened Amazon’s competitive capabilities by pioneering the application of big data and charging a monthly fee to smaller businesses
In today’s society, technology has become more advanced than the human’s mind. Companies want to make sure that their information systems stay up-to-date with the rapidly growing technology. It is very important to senior-level executives and board of directions of companies that their systems can produce the right and best information for their company to result in a greater outcome and new organizational capabilities. Big data and data analytics are one of those important factors that contribute to a successful company and their updated software and information systems.
Google continues to grow and innovate. Google focuses on the user and all else will follow. Since the beginning, they have focused on providing the best user experience possible, and take great care to ensure that they will ultimately serve their customers(Google.com n.d.). In relation to market development and product development the core values “Its best to do one thing really, really well (Google.com n.d.),” fits in with these strategies. “You don’t need to be at your desk to need an answer (Google.com n.d.),” describes Goggle’s innovation to mobile platforms. “The need for information crosses all borders (Google.com n.d.).” Google company has grown and has offices in more then 60 countries, maintaining more then 180 internet domains, and serve more then half of their results to people outside of the United States, and this relates to concentrated growth strategy. “Great just isn’t good enough(Google.com n.d.).” Google continues to strive to reach for better ways of doing things, through innovation and integration, continue to improve things in unexpected ways (Google.com n.d.).

Big data refers to data sets with sizes beyond the ability of commonly used software tools to capture, curate, manage and process the data within a tolerable elapsed time.Big Data has vast characteristic and few of them are showed below.

First of all, where does the word “Google” come from? The name "Google" originated from a misspelling of "googol,” which refers to 10100, the number represented by a 1 followed by one hundred zeros. It found its way to the English language, now the verb "Google", was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2006, meaning, "to use the Google search engine to obtain information on the Internet." Their search engine was originally nicknamed "BackRub" because the system checked back links to estimate a site's importance. /// The start of Google was pretty much like the start of every website. It was a research project to these two Ph.D. Students where they hypothesized that a search engine that analyzed the relationships between websites would produce better ranking of results than existing techniques, which ranked results according to the number of times the search term appeared on a page. It was first related to the university’s domain, but then the traffic was so heavy that the university asked them to move their website to a domain outside the university. What made Google this popular was the speed it pulls out information, which is counted in parts of seconds. And also, the size of their data base, according to the instructor of our instructor in MIS class only 60% of data you found on Google are in other web search engines.
