Google Inc. is fascinating in many ways. The company’s relentless pursuit for innovation is inspiring to say the least. From simplifying web search in the late 1990’s to quantum computing and intelligent robotics in 2014, Google has exploded into a multinational superpower. This company became our group’s choice simply because of Google’s relevance in life, today. The information giant has become such a force, ‘Google It’ has become a household phrase. Google’s power extends to the acquisitions of notable companies such as Android, YouTube, Boston Dynamics, and Nest Labs, Inc. The success of this Silicon Valley startup has thrived and is maintained by the motivation of its founders.
In this report, Google will be analyzed in four topics including leadership, human resources, organizational culture, and strategic management. Google’s leadership begins with Sergey Brin and Larry Page. These two met at Stanford University in 1995, unknowingly that the duo would later change the world. After inventing a new and efficient way to search the web, Google Inc. needed creative, intelligent, and highly motivated employees in order to expand into what it now is today. Google’s success has made it simple to find employees since it attracts some of the best resumes from around the world. Creating a virtuous cycle of attracting the best workers to invent, improve, and sell the best products. This has evolved into a culture within the company that stands out from any other company. Free food, free laundry, and a casual workplace are just a few of the perks of being a Google employee. Acting as a magnet for the worlds’ brightest young people. Google’s management has become a pioneering entity with this strategy and has proved its potential.

Google is multinational public corporation of United States of America that invested in cloud computing, Internet search and several advertising technologies. Its main business is to develop and host Internet based products and services. The company makes profit through “AdWords” which is internet based advertising program. The CEO of the company is Eric Schmidt. The company was founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page who are known as the “Google Guys”. In the beginning the company was registered as a private entity. In 2004 the company’s status changed from private to public concern. After the status of company changed Eric Schmidt, Sergey Brin and Larry Page signed an agreement to work together at Google for twenty five year. The agreement will expire in 2029. The aim of the company was to make information universally available in an organized manner. Since then they have been doing this job excellently. The company’s headquarter is located at Mountain View, California.

All these have developed from an initial search engine and the company continues to advance even to date with partnerships and acquisition of other companies and products. The company produces its revenue mainly by distributing online advertising. Google also produces revenues from Motorola through selling products. The company offers its services and products in over 100 languages and in over 50 regions, territories and countries. A big recession hit the country, and the founders of Google were trying to make a plan in order to make to limit the damage caused by an economic decline. A search engine was built in January 1996, as a research project by Larry Page, who was soon joined by Sergey Brin, two Ph.D. students at Stanford University, California. This search engine was named “BackRub,” and it was the beginning of a new era.
