“God is a perfect poet” (Robert Browning). Everything which He does is closely linked. He creates the world, makes human, gives them a chance to live, helps them when they need, and challenges their belief in Him. His challenges can lead them to be a hero or a villain. Heroes and villains are two antagonistic poles. They parallel coexist in the life and create the balanced world. While heroes symbolize hopes and goodness, villains represent evil and hell on Earth. Although the meaning of them is quite opposite, a boundary between heroes and villains is so fragile. The reason why the partition object is not firm is because always having a hero and a villain exist inside everyone. Consequently, people have to choose a role which they want to be in their life. Obviously, most of people will want to be a hero; but if heroes’ actions are illegal, are they called heroes? Yes, they are still the heroes because their goal is creating a better life and law is not always right.
Even though heroes’ ways which help people break rules, they just want to bring the best things to everyone. According to “Is a Hero Really Nothing but a Sandwich?” Ted Tollefson says most of people recognize that heroes tend risk their life to help another. It is true that heroes’ goal is living for another one. They will do all things which they want to do for everyone without caring their action can be illegal. In addition, features of heroic personality are justice, humanity and truth. These characteristics make them involve in social and political issues easily, and these problems are usually relate to law. ...ngs of converts occurred to express their belief in God. Besides, they also wanted the government to delete the law. Naturally, any uprising always has bloodshed. Some of converts were sent into exile, some of them were killed by cutting head. Also in the article “Ways of Making Change”, Hardy Merriman says heroes’ action do not gain victories, it can be a big inspiration to another people. The first generation of converts could not change the law, but they impacted on mobilizing the next generation to continue to struggle for their belief. Today, Vietnamese Catholicism can survive and develop firmly because of Vietnamese Martyrs’ great contributions. They forgot themselves to protect their belief and transmit the belief to their descendants. No one says they broke the law; everyone says the law was wrong. Therefore, it is not necessary for a hero have to obey law.
