There are many different views on whether global warming is actually real or not and possible catastrophic damage it causes. It is a big issue in politics now, everyone is arguing whether or not it is actually real or that it is just a weather pattern. People need to wake up and realize that it is real, just look at the shorter winters and the warmer weather. The Glaciers are melting, crazy weather patterns are happening, so what else could it be? We have more things to worry about as a government though. There are all kinds of facts on whether or not Global Warming is real, but Its doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that the planet is warming. “The year 2012 ranked as the eighth-warmest year on record, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The ranking was based on global surface temperatures from January to November. All 10 of the warmest years on record have occurred since 1998. December 2012 was the 34th straight month with temperatures above their average in the 1900’s.” (Back In Time.) After reading something like this how can you not say that global warming is real, obviously the facts about it are there. People say that it isn't warming because of past weather patterns but in the last 15 years, the top 10 warmest years have been recorded and yeah maybe it is just a weather pattern, but in the pattern the temperatures are getting warmer. “The temperatures on this planet have always fluctuated naturally on this planet. Looking back over the past 100 years, the earth warmed from 1900 to around 1940. There was global cooling after that until the late 1970’s.” (Scherer 20) The people who say this do not understand that there are weather patterns, but the pattern that is going on now... ... middle of paper ... ...iously global warming is real. The people that say that is isn't real need to realize, the yes there are weather patterns, but when the patterns get to the warm parts of the pattern, they are gonna be warmer than they ever were before. Yes there will be stretches of cold weather but it wont ever be as cold or as long as it was before. So people need to realize, whether they like it or not, global warming is real. Ever since the advent of weather observation and prediction technology in the past 150 years, science has created a consensus that the earth is getting warmer, and that human influence is to blame. Some even blame this change, known as global warming, for bouts of extreme weather including cyclonic storms, droughts, wildfires, and heat waves. These scientists (and much of the public) believe that our influence is the problem, as our emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses, the product of the usage of our fuels, are polluting the atmosphere and trapping energy from the sun within. However, a minority group, scientists and public skeptics alike, believe this warming trend is merely a coincidence with the earth’s naturally cyclical climate, and that the activists are overstating something they know little about. Many even agree that if the prospect of our influence were to be true, the effects are not at all that bad, unlike what it is hyped to be. Thus, global warming has become a debatable theory. Much like legislation that prevents schools from teaching evolution as anything more than a theory, now there are also laws that mandate that global warming be considered debatable, and to argue both sides of it (Jonas).
Many conspiracy theorists will tell that because their area is cold, global warming isn’t real. However this is a false argument, shown in this quote by an expert meteorologist, “The changes to the climate that scientists who are concerned about global warming point out are exactly that: long-term. Individual weather events don't mean that the trend isn't taking place. It's also important to point out that the United States makes up less than 2 percent of the Earth's surface.” As shown in the quote, global warming is a macro scale event. Certain areas being cold at brief time periods in no way contradict the global warming theory. The fact that small areas are experiencing cold temperatures does not affect the total warming of the earth. This misinterpretation of data can be used by conspiracy theorists, as shown by the current sea ice level statistics.
As referenced in Al Gores ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ 97% of the peer reviewed scientific reports regarding global warming within the scientific community, determined that global warming is an undeniable fact. The majority of the world’s population is not exposed to this scientific evidence; only the media's interpretation and distortion of the facts based on the head of their organisations
In conclusion, there is too much historical data for the natural cycles that take place on the planet to not to believe that global warming is a natural process and not due to human activity.
I do believe that global warming is happening. The data that I have seen does suggest that there is a natural cause to global warming. There is also data I have seen that also supports the human cause of global warming. The amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases humans are propelling into the atmosphere and into our oceans is un-natural. The balance is thrown off because of our use of fossil fuels and deforestation. It does not make sense to me for people to defend fossil fuels and delay new green alternatives, knowing they will run out in the future. Hendrickson and Sussman both seem to have cherry picked their facts they presented, making global warming seem like a hoax, but I don’t buy their arguments.

It's no surprise to most people that the idea of global warming is a highly controversial and debated topic. But is there any real evidence that global warming is a growing problem or is global warming just a big scare tactic being used to get people to comply with strict government regulations? Global warming is widely believed to be the main cause of rising average global temperatures. In reality, global warming isn't really all what it has been exaggerated to be. Many of the predicted effects of global warming over time have actually been proven to be false all together.
The subject of global warming is as popular as the president. These both topics have always been hot subjects in everyday life. Global warming is the biggest storm headed in our way. It is also the most important issue of our times. Those ads or public service announcement on TV about global warming might not be the most attractive but the cause behind it is very important. Global warming is one of the major threats our planet is facing. Most scientists prove the fact that global warming is mainly caused by human activities rather than natural cycles. To simplify it, most mechanisms that we use are affecting earth. These mechanisms are created by humans. Therefore, humans are affecting earth.
First lets take a look at the whole earth since of corse we are talking about global warming. If you dig deep enough you will find some evidence for global warming. There has been a slight change in the ground tempeture; however, this is only 30% of the earth which makes this eveidence invalid for as evedince for global warming. We see by this example that global warming is not happening because you cannot use only 30% of the information to speak for all of it. Thus global warming is not happening.

First off, we need find out if this problem is really a true problem. According to The Hill 30% of Americans don't believe that is the case. So what really is Global Warming? Global Warming basically means that there are too many greenhouse
Though the scientific evidence seems overwhelming in favor of global warming, there are those, for various reasons, who believe that global warming is a hoax or not empirically verified. According to Renee Cho, who posted an article on the website, phys.org, four years ago, 23 percent of Americans did not believe global warming was happening and 33 percent believed that if it was happening, it was mostly caused by natural changes in the environment. An improvement from 2013, seventy percent of Americans now believe global warming is occurring, and more than half understand that it is mainly caused by human activity, a new report reveals. A 2017 survey reveals that 13 percent of Americans still do not believe global warming is happening,
Along with the Al Gore skeptics there are others that believe there is no significant increase in the earth’s temperature and that it’s just the liberals bulldozing anyone who tells you global warming is a
Many people dedicate their lives to spread the message about climate change being real. Even though some change in the climate is natural, many events that have happened cannot be explained away by nature. Climate change is causing damage to the world that is completely irreversible. Nasa says, “Most scientists say it 's very likely that most of the warming since the mid-1900s is due to the burning of coal, oil and gas. Burning these fuels is how we produce most of the energy that we use every day” (nasa). The energy that we use daily makes our life easier, but it hurts the earth. Why does the government still allow us to use these things? Science has shown us that sea levels are rising in many parts of the world. Warm weather is causing glaciers to melt which results in the sea level rising. Earth 's average temperature has been rising for the last century in a half; and there has also been a steady rise in ocean temperature since 1969. It is said that climate control is man made and it is dangerous. On the other side of the argument, many people do not believe that climate change is real. They argue that their has not been a big temperature change in almost two decades. They also bring up the point of there not being enough data in the climate history to draw the conclusion of what is happening in the climate now is abnormal. Scientist started to record climate change around the 1800’s which many people believe is not enough data to do a comparison. Another reason some believe that climate change is not real is because of some instances where a scientist predicts a date of a significant climate change never happens. Rinkesh writes, “ For example:- Al Gore predicted that all Arctic ice would be gone by 2013. But, on contrary Arctic ice is up by 50% since 2012” (conserve-energy-future). Many people find that these reasons are why climate change is not
