All across the world, in every kind of environment and region known to man, increasingly dangerous weather patterns and devastating storms are abruptly putting an end to the long-running debate over whether or not climate change is real. Not only is it real, it 's here, and its effects are giving rise to a frighteningly new global phenomenon: the man-made natural disaster- Barack Obama, speech, Apr. 3, 2006. Global warming, or climate change, is the increase in the earth’s surface, ocean, and atmospheric temperature over time due to pollutants that are stuck in the ozone layer of the earth. These pollutants such as carbon dioxide and chlorofluorocarbons trap radiation from the sun that would normally escape the earth’s atmosphere. This phenomenon is known as the green house effect, and has caused global temperature to dangerously increase over the past decades. If global temperature continues to increase at these rates, then life on earth will be unstainable for many living things. Although many may argue that global warming is a natural thing, the pollutants that are trapped in the ozone layer are immensely due to the effects of human life.
Humans are the primary reason for the rapid increase in the earth’s temperature due to large amounts of fossil fuels that are emitted by daily human activity. When fossil fuels are burned carbon dioxide and other heat trapping greenhouse gasses are released into the ozone layer. Humans obtain the energy to heat our homes, run our vehicles, power manufacturing, and generate electricity from oil, coal, and natural gas, which are all fossil fuels. Scientists are able to relate the dangerous carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to these fossil fuels due to the carbon dioxide’s unique finger print. A...

...gress. On a smaller scale, individuals may replace appliances in their household with energy efficient appliances. Maintaining a car’s tire inflation will cause gasoline use nation wide to be reduced and can increase the energy efficiency of a car. Humans can do other things like to reduce emissions through simple actions like changing a light bulb, powering down electronics, using less water, and recycling.
In conclusion, global warming is a pandemic that is diminishing the earth’s natural resources and making life on earth unsustainable for many living things. Global warming is caused by the emission of green house gases into the ozone layer of the earth which is causing it to store heat and unnaturally warm the earth’s temperature. These greenhouse gases are caused by every day human activity, and humans must do more to reduce their negative impact on the earth.

Global Warming Is A Natural Phenomenon Essays

- Earth, the place we call home, has been in existence for over a billion years; and is one of the most necessary thing needed by all living creatures. It was created to sustain a perfect living environment for both humans and animals, making each dependent on each other. This perfect living environment provides all resources needed for survival; however, these resources are in danger of extinction…think about the movie “The Day After Tomorrow.” This movie is about global warming and the consequences of not reading the evidence given to us by climate changes; evidence such as temperature changes, rainfall patterns, snow and ice cover, and sea levels....   [tags: Earth, Atmosphere, Global warming, Climate change]

Essay on Global Warming Is A Major Part Of These Natural Disasters

- Through out the years a lot of the biggest natural disasters in history have happened in the past couple of years. In my opinion Global Warming has been a major part of these natural disasters. Global warming is caused by the increases of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants that most of cars and mostly big factories release into the atmosphere. These are mostly the best reason why the temperatures around the world are drastically changing; most of the north and south polar are melting in record times due to the increase of greenhouse effect....   [tags: Global warming, Earth, Pacific Ocean, Ocean]

Humans Are Causing Global Warming Essay

- In recent years, the controversial subject of global warming has been more predominantly brought to our attention. Is the threat of global warming real. Is it man-made or is this just a natural cycle of earth. Does it really affect earth’s inhabitants. Should action be taken against it. If so, what kind and to what extent. It cannot be only a coincidence that the alarmingly rapid climate change coincides perfectly with the increased amount of pollutants that humans release into the environment. Global Warming And Its Effects Essays

- Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth 's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate. There is great debate among many people, and sometimes in the news, on whether global warming is real. While many view the effects of global warming to be more substantial and more rapidly occurring than others do, the scientific consensus on climatic changes related to global warming is that the average temperature of the Earth has risen between 0.4 and 0.8 °C over the past 100 years....   [tags: Global warming, Climate change, Earth]

Essay on Climate Change : The Global Warming

- The climate change issue until a few years ago for me was simply a buzzword and was no more than that. I could hear, read, see, much information about climate change, but I never was caring about it.
