When given the opportunity to describe yourself with one word it is important to find the word that has brought you to where you currently are in life. “Diligent” is the word that I can relate the most to myself.
The online dictionary defines diligent as 1. constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything. 2. Done or pursued with persevering attention (Dictionary.com). This definition agrees to the way that I understand the word. Diligence can be broken down into two parts that will show how this one word is the product of different skills and characteristics. For a person to be diligent, they will first need to already be trying to accomplish something. This shows that they are adding value to their life by challenging themselves. Accomplishing something must be governed by rules, and this means the way to be diligent is to attempt to accomplish something carefully. It is not enough to try to accomplish, but rather to put regulations on yourself to make sure that the reward (of whatever it is you are trying to accomplish) is of true satisfaction.
When it comes to characteristics of people, being a diligent worker cannot be completely understood when taught by someone else. It is one of those rare traits that can only be taught by you when you realize that this is the way society wants people to be. Having a sense of pride from the effort you put in to your work will keep you addicted to being at a certain standard in any work you do. From my experiences, there is no bigger pay off than to be rewarded for the carefully chosen work you put in. Whether it is on school assignments, or general house labor, paying attention and being persistent will lead to success.

It is vital to be diligent in order to surpass the average, and go for advanced. I’ve found throughout my life that people usually appreciate diligent workers. Getting recognition for diligence is not nearly as important as staying at a level where everything you do is diligent work. I have found it necessary to apply this word to my life because it has helped me in my past and will be the reason for the success of my future.

If someone wants to succeed in life and stay recognized by superiors, then he or she ought to appear hardworking. A person begins with setting goals. There are two categories, the first, “be” goals and the second, “do” goals. In other words, ask yourself, "What to be?" or "What to achieve?" Four categories of goals consist of wealth, health, relationships, and self-fulfillment which equal success. Working diligently to finish a task demonstrates how to live a successful life. Given these points, Thomas Edison, Helen Keller and Harriet Tubman, all exceptional achievers, found that prosperity undoubtedly comes along for everyone who perseveres.
Conscientiousness is a tendency to show self-discipline act dutifully, and aim for achievement against measures or outside expectations. It is related to the way in which people control, regulate, and direct their impulses. High scores on conscientiousness indicate a preference for planned rather than spontaneous behavior. The average level of conscientiousness rises among young adults and then declines among older adults.
Completion of assignments increases your grade in school and your future work performance, which are small accomplishments to an even bigger accomplishment (goal). At the point when an individual is taught to finish and turn in all assignments on the right due date they create great work qualities. For instance: an individual who doesn't finish all assignments will inevitably recognize how it will influence their evaluation, in a workplace the person who can't finish assignment will in the long run get terminated. Completion of assignments influences completion of future work duties by allowing individuals to work to their full potential and get direct feedback on what was wrong or right. Employers look for employees to correctly complete all assignments that are given, to show their dependability and how one works positively under
There are two types of people in this world. There are people like students who work diligently to achieve the highest grade possible, athletes who put in hours and hours of practice so they can make the starting team, young adults who climb the ladder to get to the top of their company, and many others doing whatever it takes to make their dreams and goals become a reality. There are also people in this world who do the bare minimum in order to graduate with a passing grade or to make a paycheck that is possible to live on. They are doing only “just enough” to make it another day. What is the difference between the two? Standardized tests, natural talent, and IQ rankings have been used in the past to determine how successful a person will be, but a new trait has come into play that ultimately determines how much a person achieves during their lifetime. Grit is the most important trait a person
When a task is assigned to me, I work tirelessly so I can complete it. I always push myself out of my comfort zone, doing much more than is expected of me. If I am not completely satisfied with what I have formed, I will do whatever I can to make it the best work I am capable of producing. When homework is assigned to me, I always make it my best
The Hardworking people have several superb characteristics. These types of people usually goes to work on time or maybe even five or ten minutes early to see what needs to be accomplished. Determination is “The act or an instance of making an important decision and not giving up” (“Determination”). In The Great Gatsby, the main character Jay Gatsby is a succesful business man who will go to extremes to win the heart of the woman of his dreams, Daisy, hoping she would leave her husband for him. Gatsby threw extravagant parties with an abundance of alcohol and a variety of people. People would drive hundreds of miles to attend one of Jay Gatsby’s parties. He would never participate in any of his parties, however, so no one knew him. One may ask: Why would he spend so much money on parties he did not even participate in? The answer is that he would stand on the balcony looking over his unknown party guests hoping Daisy would show up one evening. Gatsby was very determined to get the attention of Daisy, and he believed by throwing these parties he would do so. He was so anxious to see her; he had his neighbor Nick invite her over one afternoon. He had been very nervous and wanted eve...

What is Determination? Determination “is a quality that makes you continue to do or achieve something that is difficult”. When you have that goal and the mindset that I can, I will, and I must be the best that I can be makes you determined. Through all the obstacles that you may encounter will make your goal difficult to reach. As soon as you set in your mind, “that I am determined” to do what I have to do makes is what makes you a tough player. After setting your determination, next in line is being strong while you go through the process of achieving your
I consider myself to be a hard worker when I study and work, who honestly loves school. My favorite classes of 8th grade are honors geometry AB, Investigation and Science & IED. I love these classes because when I solve problems experiment it feels like it's a big puzzle that is in need to be put together and I'm a person who likes to figure things out. I believe that my interactions in these classes are to be a cooperative learner and I participate in the class or group discussions. A description of myself when I work is that I am a very fast learner, so when it comes to doing independent project or tests, I finish very fast so I have a really large amount of time to check over and fix simple mistakes. Although, when I am working with my peer

To begin, I honestly believe it is necessary to be dedicated to your job. It is necessary to be one hundred percent dedicated to whatever you are doing if you wish to get substantial results. If you look at statistics, you will realize that it took years of blood and sweat, otherwise known as dedication, to get something fulfilling. Jesse Owens once aptly stated, “We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.” I honestly believe that if you wish to be successful in your occupation you must be willing to put in the effort. You will not be satisfied with your work if you do not do whatever you can to get it done. To sum up, you must ...
Throughout my life the lessons I learned from watching my parents have stuck with me. I worked throughout my entire college career, and my junior and senior year I worked full time, not because I needed to but because that is what I wanted to do. I have a very hard time staying idle. I rarely sit still for longer than a couple hours. Today I work full time, go to graduate school part-time and volunteer a 20-30 hours a week for a dog rescue.
Determination is defined in the dictionary as the the act of coming to a decision or fixing or settling a purpose. That being a very literal meaning it can be hard to understand. I see determination as an aggressive way to go about completing a task. The opposite of determination is being undecided. While being undecided we go about tasks meaninglessly. For example, while I was in high school I was going through the motions. I was there to hang out and enjoy the ride. I still very much enjoy those memories, but I now realized that I was undecided on what it was I wanted to do. I thought I wanted to play football, but it was very clear that I did not truly know. Now I am in college, and I am determined. I got about my time very carefully. It
Being brought up in a strict but honest European household honesty, respect and hard work had been instilled since a young age. I would be taught that not everything comes easy in life so, you need to earn it. I have proved this throughout high school and continued this in life after school by keeping up with full-time university, football, and work. Ambition and determination is what has got me through these busy times while keeping a high standard of school and university.
