As a result of many car accidents that have increased in the last few years, there has been a great push for cell phone banning. One of the worst train accidents in U.S history occurred when a conductor exchanged text messages on his phone while operating the train. People in the United States are often pulled over for cell phone use and cited. This issue has sparked big controversy with lawmakers. The use of a cell phone is not the only distraction while driving but it is known that it could potentially cause disaster like discussed above. The result of this has caused many states to outlaw cell phone usage while driving. This includes reckless driving, which can have a huge side effect by using a cell phone irresponsibly. Cell phone usage while operating a vehicle should be banned in the United States because it will prevent more deaths that occur every day.
