1. INTRODUCTION
The combination of education and technology has been considered the main key to human progress. Education feeds technology, which in turn forms the basis for education. (Fodje, M. The impact of technology to education in developing countries. International Conference for Technology in Education, Tampa 1999. Retrieved August 6, 2011.) Technology allowed students to break their physical limit to access any knowledge which made their academic years richer and their achievement easier, as SMART Technologies EMEA (Education), illustrated in this video, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFwWWsz_X9s, Uploaded on Oct 3, 2011).
Communication is another major key for scholastic accomplishment. According to Hargie and Dickson (2004) studies have shown a clear and positive relationship between effective interpersonal skills and a range of benefits such as greater happiness in life, resilience to stress and psychosocial problems and enhance academic and professional achievements.
The purpose of this essay is to discuss how the technology and communication methods have made an impact on academic success for students and their first steps in the real job

One way is through the use of efficient information system and modern technology. Methods used for personal interaction are now completely different from previous generations. The difference is attribute to a combination of technological enhancement and modulated in social an economic life.
As Emmanuel N. Oghakpor, explain in his research, the general concept of the new mode of teaching is to provide quality education to participating learners using electronic media to supplement traditional methods of education. This idea entails inherent risk because in some instances, interpersonal communication or traditional methods of communications are being supported by electronic media such as computer networks, email, internet connections or cell phones. (The Use of Electronic Media to Support Traditional Methods of Interpersonal Communication: An Investigation of Factors that Influence Interactions Among Undergraduate Students in Public and Private Universities, by Emmanuel N. Oghakpor, Capella University, December
In this text, the author explores the role that technology currently plays in schools and in education in general, as well as future consequences that will occur depending on whether society continues to insist on a type of education that is relatively lacking in technology or decides to embrace the options available whole-heartedly. There are both gains...
“Society is asking schools to accomplish two difficult goals: (1) guarantee that every student has basic skills, and (2) prepare an even larger number of graduates for a knowledge-based economy that requires workers who are self-motivated, can solve genuine problems, can communicate well, have the interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and can upgrade their skills by purposely continuing to learn” (Johnson, 2012, p 20). I believe we are setting up schools to fail in this regard and many schools do not have the resources to accomplish this feat. But technology is dominating our society and we need to address it and adapt.
Technology plays a very important role in today’s society. Everyone has a smart phone and we crave the latest and greatest televisions, computers, cell phones and tablets. Some of these include iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Samsung Smart TVs, Samsung Smart watches and the new Google Glass. More and more schools are using technology in their teaching methods including our own one-to-one program at Oxon Hill High School where each student received a Samsung Google Chromebook. Technology should be used in school’s curriculum and instruction because of improved communication, innovations to come and convenience to both the students and the teachers.
It also leads to better outcome of service delivery in an organization take for example in a call centre, an employee with effective communication skill makes the best call agent and leaves the clients satisfied after their conversation.
The educational process is multi dimensional for student teachers and then study materials, but since technology has come in our lives, it has become the last that completes the education process.
Educators continue to integrate educational technology into classrooms and schools across the globe. Despite Albert Einstein 's belief that “our technology has exceeded our humanity” (qtd. in Makovsky), leading some to believe technology is detrimental to a child’s future and education, it is evident that technology has advantageously contributed to the education system by creating opportunities for parents, teachers, and students to connect with each other and the educational program.
Educational technology is an umbrella term that includes many types of technologies such as computer softwares, the internet, I pads , iPods, and mobiles. By using the internet , learners are exposed to an amazing world. This world contains new branches of technology such as social networks including Twitter ,and Facebook, ,Wikis ,Blogs, and Rss.We have knowledge explosion.
From the early 1800’s modern day technology has morphed tremendously. In 1990 the World Wide Web was invented by Tim Berners- Lee. From then on technology sky rocketed from cell phones to laptops. In the early 2000’s cell phones became equipped with internet making everyone mobile, and making it easier to access information. Technology is advancing along with the human mind and younger generations, making it more beneficial for students to learn on a vast scale
Technology has helped speed up learning greatly by using the power of the internet. Technology has impacted almost every aspect of life today, and education is no exception. It has impacted opportunities for more
In conclusion, technology has changed education for the better allowing access to unlimited resources, distance learning and broadening the means of communication. Technology creates a more encouraging environment and stimulates students to engage in something they may be familiar with. Technology has allowed people to know more and to collaborate with each other. Students have a great range of technologies which strengthens the relationship between knowledge and students. The technology used today throughout the world will only strengthen and advance the 21st century education system. With unlimited resources, students can take advantage of their learning and gain the most from it. Integrating technology into education promotes a better learning community.
Technology has many different effects on education, one of them being enhancing the students learning. Technology may enhance the students learning and may assist most students in achieving their academic standards. When technology and appropriate teaching methods are combined, technology may increase the academic achievement. Positive effects have been found in all major subject areas, from preschool to higher education, both regular and special needs students. Educational technology has been found to have a positive effect on a student’s attitude toward learning and on self-concepts. The introduction of technology into the learning environment has allowed the learning to be more student-centered, to encourage group learning, and helps to stimulate an increase in the student-teacher interaction. Technology has shown a shift from a focus on a student’s memorization to their problem solving. Through technology’s use, learning opportunities have become unrestricted by time or place, allowing lifelong learning. Student use of technology through communications can also help to enhance access to a career and continued education. Students are more likely to use a computer to get help because they can to it themselves. Technology is helping students to become independent.
Technology has had a negative impact on education by causing distractions during class lectures and assignments. The over use of technology is leading to a loss in communication skills and troubles in reading. The use of technology causes many people to have the temptation for cheating in and out of classrooms, resulting in students not wanting to study. Not every student has the capability of connecting to the internet or have contact to technology. This creates difficulties for those students without connection to the internet to complete online assignments or have accesses to their school’s resources. Also, for online courses, students have to wait for an email response in order to get help or to understand a lecture that the professor is
Technology affects every aspect of our lives. From romance to business, it has shown its presence everywhere. But technology has had a huge impact on education that cannot be denied, and has done nothing but improve the quality and quantity of education.
When technology is used correctly it can be an amazing asset. “Technology Education Vs. Education Technology: Do You Know the Difference” stresses the importance of knowing the difference between technology education and education technology. McCampbell describes technology education as “preparing students to understand, use, and control technology.” (McCampbell) This means that McCampbell and others are beginning to stress the importance of students and other professional’s knowledge on the proper use of technology. The article discusses the lack of knowledge on technological skills within schools and how this should not be the case because of how much we now rely on technology in the world of education. Education technology is defined as,
Technology properly used in the classroom has many advantages to a student’s learning. Technology can help students become more involved in their own learning process, which is not seen in the traditional classroom. It allows them to master basic skills at their own rate rather than being left behind. Teachers and students alike can connect to real life situations by using technology in the classroom; this can also help to prepare students for real world situations. Technology can be used to motivate students as well as to offer more challenging opportunities. It can also be used as a visualization tool to keep students interested in the subject that is being taught. When technology is used effectively, students have the opportunity to develop skills that they may not get without the use of technology (Cleaver, 2011). Assessing and monitoring students is easier on the teacher because of the ability to use technology in the classroom. When technology is used correctly it offers limitless resources to a classroom atmosphere.
