A gang is a name created by a group of people, to fight for what they believe in, by using violence. Gang violence has always existed, however it has being growing noticeably in today 's society. There are the many types of gangs in the world, but the most popular gang are the Mara Salvatrucha gang and the Latin Kings gang. In each gang there are positive and negative effect of being part of a gang, plus society.

The definition of a gang is a group of people who work together with a similar idea. Gang is mates who get together as one group to solve problems they believe should be done for their own safety and mostly family or society. The Mara Salvatrucha, also known as MS/MS-13, are the most famous street gang in the Western Hemisphere. A lot of people know the Mara Salvatrucha as the most violent gang in the universe.The gang is mostly Spanish speaker member and including some Mexican gang people. The Mara Salvatrucha formed in 1980s Los Angeles by Salvadoran immigrant youth. Today the gang is one of the largest street gangs in the United States and Northern Central America (Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras). (Insightcrime).
