Gandhi had stood up for everything he believed in. He made sure it was all done peacefully and orderly with no confrontation with others. He was strongly against violence; he had always tried to avoid conflict with others. No one would have thought that he’d be leading thousands of people one day. In his mind he thought that world peace was the key to humanity.
As a young boy he was very shy and just an average student with nothing ‘special’ about him. He had often said “my books and my lessons are my soul companions” (Wheeler 11). Gandhi had married three times but each time he had become a widow. At the age of 16 he had a child but shortly after birth the baby had died. But soon he had two other sons; he had often left them to go study in other countries such as England and Africa. While studying world religion as he travelled to other countries Christianity and Hinduism had interested him the most out of all of them.
