Today’s world is witnessing many changes in a very short period of time.
These changes are due to technology. The latter is presenting new challenges and demands affecting the society at all levels especially in terms of Education.
With the development of technology, changes will be needed in the classroom environment. Therefore, there is a necessity to change and improve our educational system and classrooms in order to keep a balance between the students’ learning and the continually changing environment (Tiburcio, 2005). Due to the technology development many questions have been asked concerning the classrooms of the future:
What is the future of the schools? How are they going to be designed? What is the effect of technology in education? …show more content…

This promotes meaningful interactions between teacher-students and students-students (Tiburcio, 2005). Also, (10) the seats should be comfortable so the students are at ease to work, (11) classrooms and all the campus are provided with internet connection to facilitate students’ work and enhance the exploration of new information, (12) students will be using their computers to do all the academic work hence books and papers will no longer be needed and will be replaced by technology.
Additionally, classrooms are beyond the walls. The corridors and yards are needed for the students to gather and rest. There should be large green spaces with green grass and trees so the students and teachers can have a relaxing and refreshing break (Wulsin, 2013). All in all, the use of technology in the classroom has effected learning positively: the classroom became an interactive space where students are active motivated learners. Therefore, technology is a key element that should be taken into consideration while developing the classrooms’ design in the future. All these changes and improvements discussed above will demand from schools more (1) investment to buy the equipment, (2) maintenance to keep them in proper conditions and (3) management to make sure that the equipment is being used effectively (Tiburcio,
