He doesn’t believe in the many things he reads about, like the war, and the things he hears from his teachers. One person that he does have full belief in, though, is his best friend Gene. In this quote, he says that there is no way he couldn’t believe in his friend and that he believes he knows him better than anyone else. If Phineas really does know more about his friend than anyone, than he clearly must know the truth about his injury. He shows that he does know that his friend put this injury upon him, and understands what forced him to act in such way. Even while understanding the great deal of hardship Gene has given him, Phineas still proceeds to express his trust and loyalty to his friend. He explains how important Gene is in his life and how well he knows him. By doing this, it’s clear that sooner or later he’s going to face the truth. My dog’s name is Gus. He is an goldendoodle and is a medium sized dog. Whenever I get home, I can always count on him scratching the door, waiting for me to enter. Once I get inside, he will then begin to lick my legs and wag his tail uncontrollably. This unique relationship I have with him brings me a great deal of happiness and joy. It makes me feel great to rub his stomach or feed him one of his favorite treats. He then overwhelms me with praise and love.
