Freshman social life
My freshman experience was by far the longest and most difficult time in the four years I spent at American Heritage High School. I did not know one person in my entire high school when I got there so it was a difficult task to make friends. The first few weeks in high school I was so miserable. The hardest time of freshman year was probably overhearing other students I went to school with talking about an amazing party they went too on the first weekend of high school. This was extremely tough for me considering that I was not invited to this party and that weekend, I had just stayed home and watched a movie. During my freshman year there were certain activities designed to help new students make friends. I went to all those activities and eventually over time I started to meet people. At a pizza night at the school, I met multiple people who eventually became my friends of mine. I also made multiple friends at the football games, watching The American Heritage Patriots Destroy their Opposition. By The second month of school I felt a lot happier about my social life at my new school. Once I had a few friends it made it a lot easier to meet new people. In the third month of my freshman year I felt very happy about my current social situation because I had made so many new friends. That was also the time when I got invited to my very first party of high school. I went to this party with friends and had such a good time. There was a DJ and his music was amazing. ...assignments. My tutor was a very nice senior at my school name jack. He explained to me how to follow a step-by-step procedure in a way that my teacher never did. I improved my grade so drastically in about a two-week period that the teacher actually accused me of cheating. I did not like that questioning of my integrity and offered to retake the test. I retook the test and actually got a better score on it. The teacher was shocked and apologized to me multiple times. From these experiences I learned that freedom required great responsibility. It is the student’s responsibility to get their work done and improve their grades. I feel I really grew up in my freshman year because I was thrown into the fire. I learned a lot about responsibility from my experiences in my freshman year of high school and these experiences prepared me to be the student I am today.
