Welcome to America. Land of the free, home of the brave. A place they call the “land of opportunity”. Or more famously touted as the “American Dream”. It seems like by just hearing these phrases all you have to do is journey to America to make your dreams come true. That life will be easier by just being in America. Like America is the ice cream man with his truck that plays that all too familiar jingle. As soon as you hear it, like a child you are out of your house pining for his attention so that he may stop and give you the cool, sweet refreshment that everyone loves. Yet, forgetting that in order to get the sweet treat you need to pay. Because, no matter how friendly, nice, or inviting he is. He still needs to work, he still needs to keep his lights on, he has mouths to feed. That ice cream is not free. There is no free lunch.

Yet, seeming to forget that there are many within. Working to provide for themselves and their families. Forgetting that the reason why America has built was that people without came to this land to make a living for themselves and families. Also forgetting that he could not be in this position, running for the presidential seat, without someone that fought to clean the toilets, or build buildings. ...gainst supporting immigrants. Public opinion about immigrants can have a negative impact on getting support from communities. Another problem that we will face is a financial one. Where the funds are coming from and who is sending it? One state that is trying to solve immigration is Minnesota. They have many centers that help immigrants get better acquainted with society. Not only that, they have a broad range of services for different demographics. Centre for Asians and Pacific Islander (CAPI), Vietnamese Social Services of Minnesota, and CLUES to name a few.
Immigration is not a problem. It is an opportunity. If local communities have these centers available, it will benefit others. Enabling local communities to grow in many ways. Lowering poverty rates, lowering homelessness, and raising community growth. When a community prospers so does everyone around them.
