Free Fitness Instead of Gym Class

‘Free’ Fitness in the fitness center instead of a typical Gym classes

Only 19 percent of all high school students are physically active for 20 minutes or more, five days a week, in physical education classes (insert in text-citation). But why does physical education classes have to be like this? non-enjoyable for the students? hardly physical enough? as well as an environment that's not stress relieving nor confidence building? As a grade nine student that has been at Havergal College for 2 years i have to admit i do enjoy having a class where it's not all school-work based, and a class where we don't have to where our daily uniform. However, i feel it would be better in a physical perspective, and more appealing to the students if girls were able to do 'free' physical fitness in the fitness center for gym class instead of planned lessons and games. Of course you would think what fun is sweating, and having a red face after work-outs in the fitness center compared to playing a friendly, non-tiring game of dodgeball? However, i've realized maybe the challenge itself is not the fun part but the the proud feeling afterwards is. I propose that all gym classes should be substituted for free fitness classes in the fitness center for at least an hour every other day during a school week because gym class lacks amusant, free fitness will relieve stress, and it will build a teenage girls confidence.

...ass is a place to release your mind and get active so girls so get the chance to do what they want with their bodies and minds in order to keep themselves healthy and happy throughout their challenging, growing teenage years.
