Fish are one of Allah’s mighty creations on this world. Fish are just another common type of organism which exists on this Earth. Do you notice how acrobatic and lissome fish are in water? Let’s see how fish are able to live in the water. A typical fish has a streamlined body covered with scales. These scales which are made of bones similar to human teeth are then covered by a layer of slime which prevents water to get inside the body of a fish and almost, it helps a fish to move through the water. Swim bladders/ air sacs in the abdomen of a fish help it move not only forward and backward, but also upward and downward. Fish carry a pair of fins supported by rays of cartilage or bone. Unlike humans, fish breathe through a pair of gills. There are a very few fish which are warm-blooded. Such fish include Tuna, Swordfish and some species of sharks.

Most fishes have keen sense of vision which helps them to capture food, hide from the predicate, locate shelter or find a mate. Many fishes see color and some are able to see in very low light levels. It might be flabbergasting to hear but fish also have the ability to taste. They have taste buds on their lips, tongue and mouth. Fish have jaws that allow them to eat a wide variety of food, including plants and other organisms.
