According to the CDC, the best alternative is practicing hygiene, such as washing hands with soap and water or using hand sanitizer, stay away from items that have been in contact with someone infected and avoid going to a funeral or burial of someone who has died from Ebola. Patients who travel outside of the country will have to monitor their health for 21 days. If symptoms occur there are diagnostic tests available such as, Antigen-capture testing, IgM ELISA, Polymerase chain reaction and Virus isolation.
