Final Portfolio Reflective Analysis
My first year of college education I choose to take English Comp 1 because I felt it would help me improve my writing skills for other classes that I may take at the college level. This class was one of my hardest classes but you have to put time and effort in for your grades. I got to observe a place that was significant to me and express that place I was in. Detail was shown a lot in this essay for example the way I showed my readers what my views looked like from my porch bench. Ive demonstrated this in my journalistic narrative by making my beginning more engaging so reader want to keep on reading. For example I began my essay like this “As I walk into the into the doors of our newly built YMCA I see the pool through the large glass composed wall. Little did I know that i 'd be starting many days off like this for next 10 years of my life.” I made these two sentences a little extra engaging because this is where i 've learned how to keep my readers attention. You 're beginning and ending can make a major difference in essay because it attracts your readers. My structure in my Open Letter is also displayed well. The paragraphs flowed all the way through with the good structure. Before English Comp 1 my essays weren 't very organized and I had trouble setting them
