Reflection Paper On Mental Health

On Monday, I went to meet up with a woman named Clara Angel to discuss how she feels about the field of mental health. Ms. Angel is a License Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She got her Master’s degree at New York University (NYU). Her office is magnificent. The office is on the corner of University Plaza and 11th street, on the fourth floor. When I entered the office I noticed that I was walking to the Washington Square Institute for Psychotherapy and Mental Health (WSI).
The receptionist upon entering was very nice and helpful. I was early to our meeting so I waited a few minute for Ms. Angel in the receptionist area. After a Few minutes of waiting, I heard a door open behind me and my name called. I stood to shake Ms. Angel 's hand and say thank you for meeting me for this interview but, she walked through the doorway into the hall. Instead of giving me an in-depth answer I was expecting, she simply stated she liked it. To follow up this question and in hopes to get her to open up, I asked how her clients feel about the music and if anyone of them has ever mentioned it to her in a negative or positive manner. Simply she stated no they have never said anything about the music and let the topic drop.
I asked her what she thought about the field of Mental Health and her plans for her career within the field. She stated everything was great within the field of mental health. That there was no negatives. As for her career, she plans to stay right where she is because this is her passion. I attempted to ask her about her time at NYU and if she had any recommended for courses or professors. She simply stated she did not. It is good to have a positive outlook on life but this was unrealistic and unhelpful to me. I was not able to get any sort of understand of the field I am going
