Fashion, as any other creative sphere, is highly competitive. In many cases, creative geniuses can offer unique and innovative ideas or products that can positively contribute not just to the industry but also to the country’s economy. However, in many cases fashion designers encounter issues primarily related to business practices, as naturally it may not be their key expertise. Providing help and advices in business and marketing field can shift their ideas from purely creative to organically profitable. This problematic highly applies to the case of Eastern and Central European designers (Polish, Czech, Slovakian and Hungarian). The key aim of this research will be to investigate the possibilities and opportunities, which could potentially shift ECE skilled designers onto the competitive international fashion market. One of the key priorities will be to investigate the feasibility of fashion incubator in this region, as well to explore the current operations and support that the domestic industries offer. It is also important to analyse the limitations of regional market and investigate counter-active elements in order to eliminate anything that could essentially affect the new industry buildout. Moreover, analysing the existing business models of current incubators and fashion institutions such as British fashion council (BFC) or the Council of fashion designers of America can greatly benefit this research, as their functioning has been largely contributing to the quality of today’s fashion industry. However, despite of the uniqueness and depth of her work, the book offered no solutions to the current market and its future developments. Therefore there is an urgent need to investigate the future possibilities of the market. To this day there is only one organization in Hungary called “Design terminal”, which serves as a center for creative development and offers advisory to young designer. (DesignTerminal) However, their overall contribution to the regional market has not been yet considered as highly significant. Altogether, ECE region holds great talents and retains unique designs that could in the long-run affect the global fashion industry and boost the regional economy forward.
