Fast food got its start on remarkable route in California where the Mc Donald brothers opened the first restaurant in 1948. Today, fast food has become very popular because of the delicious taste and the low-priced. Many families in the United States don’t have time to dined together due to a busy modern lifestyle. In 2004, Americans spent $148.6 billion on fast food (Min, 2013). In past 3 decades, foods that sold at the fast food restaurants are often of low nutritional quality, but recent fast food restaurants try to develop the healthfulness of their menus and offering healthful food to consumers.
Regarding the fast food history, it appears that fast food has begun in 1948. Ritter, (2013) reviewed how fast food restaurant begin in the United States. The first fast food restaurant was opened by Dick and Mac McDonald in California, in 1948. The first logo for the restaurant was the “Speedee” hamburger man. In 1961, Ray Kroc bought out the McDonald brothers for $2.7 million and changed the logo to the iconic Golden Arches. Ray Kroc opened McDonald locations throughout the country and transformed the fast-food experience to the dining experience into the unified American culture. McDonald’s foods are the same, tasted the same, and the restaurants were perfectly clean everywhere Americans travelled to. Less than a decade later, 100 restaurants had opened across the United States in 1959. Today, McDonald’s employing 1.7 million people and operates 33,000 restaurants in 119 countries.
Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative was created in 2006 by McDonald’s and other companies to presenting and encourage healthy lifestyles. This included providing children with healthier food and drink options. Currently, ...

The evolution of fast food has begun by Mc Donald brothers who opened the first restaurant in California in 1948 and the evolution has involved with the organization and companies who tended to encourage healthy lifestyle. The fast food restaurants have changed their menus and offered healthier food to consumers. This studies advised, though; Ritter (2013) studies the historical of fast food restaurants, Min (2013) studies how affect the globalization of fast food restaurant franchises in the United States, and Bauer et al. (2012) studies of the energy content offerings in the United States. All of the studies were based upon paper and survey methodologies. Future research should replicate these findings in more natural settings with different countries or locations.
