Falling in love is a mysterious, wonderful, and deeply spiritual experience. It is finding the other half of one’s self and feeling complete for the first time in one’s life. The experience of falling in love has inspired countless stories, plays, and songs. It is the deepest desire of a human to be in love with another person, and to have that love requited. Falling in love creates intense, spiritual feelings between two people. Often, these feelings can be so strong that they consume a person with their intensity. These feelings, as wonderful as they can be, cannot be maintained at that intensity for the duration of a life-long relationship. Although these deep feelings can and should resurface from time to time, being in a constant state of intense love would drain a person over time and prevent that person from finding self-fulfillment, self-satisfaction, and, ultimately, true happiness.
Joseph Campbell spoke of the “seizure” that comes in recognizing your soul’s counterpart in another person as a mysterious, electric experience. Campbell speaks of the moment a person falls in love. Falling in love can be a deeply spiritual experience. It is a spiritual recognition of another person’s soul, an otherworldly connection that can only be understood by experience. Being in love with someone is the deepest appreciation of that person, and that person is a reflection of what one values the most in this world. Falling in love is seeing a reflection of one’s own soul. It is a realization that induces the maximum of human emotion; it is the tip of exhilaration. Falling in love can be euphoric, the coming together of two souls. These feelings are a wonderful, beautiful thing that one should indulge in and appreciate, but these euphori...

...relationship has self satisfaction, self fulfillment, and true love because those feelings faded over time.
The moment when a person falls in love is a wonderful, beautiful thing. It is exhilarating, incredible, and borderline magical. For many people, it may have been the greatest moment of their life. Because it is so intoxicating and draining, it cannot be maintained naturally in a life-long relationship. A person could not maintain their individuality or maintain a sense of self fulfillment. Still, some may want this feeling to resurface frequently, and so may turn to occasional drug use to make them feel like they have fallen in love again. The feelings that come with falling in love are too much for any person to constantly bear. Although this feeling of intense, passionate love is an essential part of falling in love, this feeling cannot endure indefinitely.

True Meaning of Love Revealed in Snow Falling on Cedars Essay

- True Meaning of Love Revealed in Snow Falling on Cedars       David Guterson's novel, Snow Falling on Cedars, is one that covers a number of important aspects in life, including some controversial topics like racism and the Japanese internment during America's involvement in the Second World War. It speaks to this reader on a more immediate and personal level, however, through the playing out of Ishmael and Hatsue's relationship-one which Hatsue seems to be able to walk away from, but which shapes the way Ishmael tries to "live" his life because he cannot let go of the past, or a future that is not, and was not meant to be....   [tags: Snow Falling Cedars Essays]

Spirituality And The Spiritual Life Essay

- Spirituality, is a concept that everyone in the world takes part in whether they are fully aware of it or not. Personally, I have always considered myself to be a spiritual person; however, I never realized that spirituality does not necessarily have to be part of a religion. I considered myself spiritual because I consistently attended church on Sunday mornings, bible study on Wednesday nights, and youth group activities throughout the weeks. My sense of spirituality has always involved religion of some sort until coming to college....   [tags: Meditation, Spirituality, Spiritual practice]

Mysterious Crop Circles Essay

- In this world, there are so many mysteries, secrets, and phenomenon that have not been explained. For the last few decades, crop circles have been appearing all around the world, yet we do not have a clear scientific explanation for them. Crop circles are defined as some kind of circular geometric patterns on crops such as wheat, barley, and corn, (Meder 2007). They are made within a very short period of time without any mistakes. There are over 12,000 circles found with complicated patterns and large in scale, (Crystalinks 2009) Many of the crop circles were found to be a manmade, but we cannot conclude that rests of them are hoaxed by man....   [tags: Mysterious Phenomenons]

Essay on Love - Puzzling and Mysterious

- Love - Puzzling and Mysterious What is this thing called love. This simple question begs for an answer. The symptoms of love are familiar enough. A drifting mooniness in one’s behavior and thought, the fact that it seems as though the whole universe has rolled itself up into the person of the beloved, something so wonderful that no one on earth has ever felt about a fellow creature before. Love is ecstasy and torment, freedom and slavery. Love makes the world go round. Until recently, scientists wanted nothing to do with it....   [tags: social issues]

Snow Falling on Cedars Essay

- Snow Falling on Cedars The book Snow Falling on Cedars is about a Japanese man Kabuo Miyanmoto who is on trial for murder. He is accused of murdering a white man, Carl Heine. Much of the story is told through the memories of various characters. It is set in the 1050's in Puget Sound on a fictional island called San Piedro. I think Snow Falling on Cedars was an excellent book. I felt that the author was able to present an unbiased view of the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII....   [tags: Snow Falling Cedars Essays]

Essay on The Transformation of Ishmael in Snow Falling on Cedars

- The Transformation of Ishmael in Snow Falling on Cedars What can be said about a novel of such luminance as Snow Falling on Cedars that has not already been said. Certainly it is a work of much vision and insight and speaks volumes about prejudice and race. The wordplay of Guterson creates a world of vivid reality-it surrounds the reader with sights, smells and a clearly defined sense of touch. Perhaps lost amidst the smells of the strawberry fields, the cold of the winter storm, and the deep social statements about the nature and quirkiness of prejudice is the fact that this beautifully crafted story of immense complexity is in reality a very simple story about the identity of one man....   [tags: Snow Falling Cedars Essays]
