The death penalty is and has been a very much controversial issue among the American society. Much of the topic regarding capital punishment has been on a for or against situation ever since the history of sentencing criminals to death began. Some people see it alright to kill someone who took another person's life. Pretty much it was considered an act of revenge based on the laws regulating the country's legal system. On the other hand, some people see it as illegal and wrong.
The death penalty is recognized by those that oppose it as an inhumane manner in dealing with criminals. Moreover, some states in this country have felt that the need to have the death penalty is deemed unnecessary based upon the controversial debates and dealing with crime in an unethical way. In fact, even international law and other countries have abolished the death penalty.
Although many people believe that criminals should be given a second chance or at least given the opportunity to rehabilitate themselves; the pro death penalty supporters see almost no interest in giving these individuals another...
