One of the cultural factors to consider is on how to scrutinize the job description. As a job seeker I should carefully review the profession requirements and the key responsibilities. Further, I should know well as to whom you will report to during the interviews. These are most vital step in assessing an offer from a prospective company.
Another cultural factor to consider is the Company’s background and traditions. This would basically entail the organization values, attitudes and goals which drive the Company forward to achieving its laid objectives. Essentially, the company culture must be closely correlated with your personality, personal values and beliefs. The work environment will as well affect how the worker feels on a daily basis. For instance, I may strongly prefer a conformist corporate culture with set hours and established processes, but to another person she might not be contented in an informal atmosphere.
Conversely, while working it is encouraging if every employee is given a chance to experience the sense of belonging. Conclusively, distance between the work place and where the job seeker resides, is as well considered as the job offered to you may be in a different office than where interviews are conducted. Be clear on where you will be working from to ensure it is a realistic distance from your home. Exaggeration can result into an extra transport operating expense. If you are willing to drive far for your job, subtract the cost from your earnings to accurately estimate your profits. In addition, find out if traveling to other states or countries is required for your position before you accept the offer.
