Everyone on the earth uses the internet. The internet is a world wide known thing that helps people communicate and research things and people who or what they want to know, Most people do abuse the fact that they have access to the internet and they take advantage of it. The internet is available to everyone 24/7. People of any age have the privilege to be able to have the use of internet. The internet has impacted people’s lives and how they perform in the real world. Most people today are not learning effectively because they spend too much time on the internet which is making them less intelligent. The internet is a worldwide thing that affects everyone. Because of the internet people can talk to anyone around the world. The internet …show more content…
That is why mostly everyone in the world spends their time being on their phones or other devices instead of communicating with each other. People spend pointless hours on electronics and because of this they cannot even hold a normal conversation with another person. By not being able to uphold a conversation it shows that the world is becoming lazier. They would rather stay inside and surf the web than get out of the house for the day. In our world today, inventors have made televisions to where people can watch cable and be able to surf the web at the same time on the screen. People today cannot even get through a page of reading a book. They rather just skim whatever they are reading instead of investing time to read a good quality book. Instead of using the internet for research use, people just get on for the joy of it. They spend endless hours on social media just lurking when they could be doing something more productive with their life. By spending hours on social media people meet strangers and they give out personal information which is not safe and is completely dumb. They do not know how to be safe when they spend their time on the internet which can cause much bigger problems down the road. When they want to know something, they just type it up on their phones and instantly have whatever they were looking for. They do not know or care if the information is correct or not. Today’s children rarely go outside and play. They complain if they are forced to go out. Instead of making friends with neighborhood kids, they rather be friends with strangers on the internet. Children care more about how people on the internet thinks of them. Since they spend countless hours on the internet, they do not know what is going on in the real world. Children were recently asked history questions. None of them knew when the civil war was started, but if they were asked questions of which celebrity was dating who. They instantly knew those answers. It shows that children do not pay attention in school and that they pay to much attention to the online world. When children come home from school they get on the computer as soon as they can. They will quickly do their homework which causes them to fail. Since they spend countless hours on the internet, it interferes with their sleeping schedule. They will stay up until like three or four in the morning and sleep until noon or one in the afternoon. Children do not understand the concept of the internet and how it can ruin their lives. They will not understand how to do certain things in the future. The internet affects children being social. They can talk to someone online, but they can not even hold a conversation with the kid that sits by them in class. They do not know what normal kids do. They will throw a fit just
With all the technology today, the Internet is still off-limits to certain people. Everyone does not own a computer and because of this, everyone is not computer literate. Mostly middle and upper class people have their own laptops, or computers, and are able to pay for Internet service. Other people, like student's who use their schools computers or people who go to libraries, are forced to use whatever equipment is available, which is, in most cases, not top of the line and sometimes may or may not have the Internet. Soon this world will be computer-based and if you do not have your own computer or at least access to one, you will be behind. The Internet is an important part of computers considering the many uses it offers.
People use technology for our daily lives and some of us over use technology. The dependency on technology is not good. Not only does this affect people, but kids as well. Technology has taken away the human interaction people and kids have with each other. According to the book No Impact Man by Colin Beavan, beavan states, “Knowing how to live is not something we have to teach children. Knowing how to live is something we have to be careful not to take away from them.”As kids grow older they are learning to live and only depend on technology. Before people would see kids running around outside interacting with one another. Today we have kids face timing or playing with each other through video
First, the Internet has affected us socially and allows people to communicate with friends and family across the
In today’s day and age, almost all kids have a smartphone and know how to work technology. Kids are able to browse the internet, sign into Netflix, twitter, Facebook, etc. It is a great idea that kids are expose to what the future maybe, and are learning from technology, but parents should limit what their children use the computer for and how much time they spend on it. Most children are e in the here and now and want to be associated with what is cool in society. Many elementary schools, middle school kids are on every social media you could think of, and though parents may not think it’s such a bad thing they should know that some things that are presented online are most of the inapprotie for these kids. It is not only social media, videogames
The internet is a new way people can interact with one another or keep track on what is going on around the world. It is changing how people live their daily lives and is shaping a new way of society. New technology comes out every day to help people and make their lives easier. From finding a perfect couple to talking to old friends that live far away, the internet has brought society closer than It ever has been before. This is changing the outcome on how people track one another or knowing what’s going on around the world or even just around your neighborhood. The internet is making it easier to know what people are up to. These new ways of keeping in touch help society come close in times of stress or teaches people new ideas that they
The Internet’s impact on me personally is good overall. This is true because I surf the Internet when I’m bored, the Internet has online games that I can play with other people on the other side of the world if I wanted to. The Internet has all kinds of databases, which helps me on research papers like this one.
The internet socializes adolescents in ways that they can communicate to anyone anywhere in the world in an instant. It connects them to friends, family, or even strangers. The internet has socialized me in ways that I am able to talk to anyone from around the world. I also have friends in Europe, so it becomes easier to communicate with them. But also, that could be a dangerous thing, the internet gives people a way to hide behind their screens.
The internet is an amazing invention. You can use it for research, communication, learning, entertainment, taking an online English class, and other things. The internet can affect our behavior, and our behavior on the internet can affect other people. Communicating on the internet can be a lot different than communicating in public. You can say anything you want anonymously on the internet. The things you say can affect others in positive, such as teaching, or negative ways, such as bullying. Social media has turned into a world of its own where people act completely different than they would in public.
The internet and technology as a whole, has had an enormous effect on American culture. It has been such a great way for people to let our their true selves and opinions be heard.. Some people say “it's a way for people to express their true thoughts, beliefs.” While others say “it can cause conflict between two different parties.” The internet provides people a sense of privacy and security. You can be someone who you’re not in the real world, for better or worse, and that choice is up to you. The internet acts as a virtual reality to which you can escape and feel better in. In my eyes, if we didn’t have the internet today, we would be missing out on all the wonderful things that it encompasses.
Imagine a sunny, blue-sky day. A beautiful day to be outside playing with friends. You look over and notice that you son/daughter is on the computer. You tell them to go outside and enjoy the day; they say they can not, because they do not have any friends. If they live in Nebraska though they could, because the person they are talking to lives there. Many children now a day are not getting the proper exercise they need; because, they are spending day and night on the Internet chatting. In addition, due to them spending so much time online, their schoolwork has drop significantly. There have been so many times that I heard my friends say “Only if I had more time.” Well if they have spent less time chatting and more time studying things would be different.
The use of the Internet has exploded in the past few decades, and the age of the user is swiftly declining as well (Greenfield, Patricia, and Zheng Yan). “The spread of Internet access has been described as nine times faster than that of radio, four times faster than the personal computer, and three times faster than television” (Shields, Margie, and Behrman 5). The Internet has woven itself into people’s daily lives and has really changed culture in numerous ways. It has helped make education more accessible, especially to those in developing countries. Specifically, it has brought life saving health practices and information to those who otherwise would have gone without it. Also, children who need extra help learning, like kids with special
Have you ever wonder what a child does on the internet? Although some websites like: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Kik are good social sites were a child can socialize with other people they may or may not know. The internet enables children to talk to people anywhere in the world. (Mitra, 2013) Sometimes it might have a negative side because it could stop a child from interacting with friends and family which could eventually make them anti-social. But according to research, computers does not make children anti-social. (Mitra, 2013)
The internet is full of many things that could make us smarter. However, the internet is full of websites, games, even photos that could very likely have a negative effect on children and their behaviors. Also their education, speech could become affected and they could start doing badly in school or start cursing at a young age. Another thing is that their attitude towards life changes, instead of seeing it as their own giant happy playground they can view it as a very bitter and cold place and start looking, feeling, and talking negatively.
Internet as part of the history is the most important invention around the world which connects people thru phones, satellites and cables. People all over the world have access to it as it is everyday usage, and internet becomes globally real and in demand. To mention here, the usage for permits technically for travelling or getting tickets are electronically through internet, paying bills, shopping thru nets without going out (just browsing), playing games, and mostly the merit of possibly downloading music and movies in no time (just a click).
The internet has influenced, and is still influencing the way society communicates in many different ways. The rise of the internet has caused people to communicate differently in areas never dreamed of before the internet came into existence. Education has been revolutionized through the world of the “Information Super Highway”. Medicine has also seen reform as the internet improves research and communication. Individuals are starting businesses from scratch, while others are selling household items for extra cash. This internet “typhoon” sweeping the globe has become a way of life for many individuals all across the globe.
