For establishing a successful organization and retaining work relationships globally, leaders should be able to collaborate with their co-workers and should also be able to manage diversity. Usually, diversity strengthens the organization, but lacking the knowledge of cultural differences can impact work relationships. Considering Hofstede’s six dimensions of cross-cultural behavior, the cultural difference between specific nations can be understandable. Accessing Hofstede’s six dimensions, based on the cultural beliefs and values, U.S. scored higher in terms of individualism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance and indulgence. Whereas India scored higher in terms of power distance and long term orientation. Thus, the cultural differences between India and U.S. are pronounced and significantly impact work relationships.
