1 It is not ethical to abandon a dying climber, because lives are the most important thing. This is a Virtue ethics, but sometimes this is a Deontology. Basically, a law bans to kill people.

A Nobody knows when their physical condition changes. If they are fine when they start, they should be along on the climb. This is not happiness of majority and rules, so this may be a Virtue ethics.

B Yes, it does. The ethical decision is different by each situation. Choosing one life or majority’s lives depends on the situation. This has possibilities to be all ethics.

C I will choose two climbers by considering their experiences. One climber is a person who don’t experience claiming so much. A person will not need to claim so much. Another climber is a person who has experienced that descending with the stricken climber. A person will have enough knowledge to deal with the situation and can decent with three people safely. This will be a Consequentialism, because consequently the stricken climber will be saved. If I chose two climbers who haven’t experienced so much, the stricken climber...
