...rganization is clear. As organizations are challenged to responsibly lead ever increasingly diverse workforces, integrating ethical competence into education and training initiatives is a smart strategy. There are truly no disadvantages to becoming an ethical leader or helping to develop an ethical organizational culture, however, it remains challenging to accomplish and slow to happen. Individual characteristics and the degree of commitment to learning that leaders bring to the workforce will continue to affect their success in becoming ethical leaders. Self-reflection, challenging shared assumptions, (Schein, 2010) and recognition of the strength that ethical leadership brings to an organizational culture is an excellent starting point. Personally, I intend to model the behavior and practice self-reflection that enables me to be a capable and ethical leader.
