I'm honestly surprised and impressed that you came to talk to me. I don't know what Brian told you, but I bare no ill-will towards you. These past few days have been very confusing for me, you come on TS3 and suddenly there is drama between us, or at least people say there is. I've done nothing except, stay in my room and spend time with my boyfriend. I can't say care enough about what you're doing for me to be the "source of the drama". Everything that I know about you has been pointed out to me by other people, especially with in these past few days. As for you showing your ass to Adam, I don't know if its true or not as I don't know you personally. That rumor is also very old news, it happened back when Jess and Adam were dating. I don't know why Brian told you this now, as he was there when it originally happened and I believe back then he even agreed and believed it. And you don't have to explain anything to me, what you've done on cam with Adam is not really any of my business. It's all you. I never knew you went on the server, at least when Brian bought me the server you ...
In the colonization period, the urge to conquer foreign territories was strong, and many lands in the Western Hemisphere were conquered. With the colonization of these areas, a mercantilist relationship was formed between the conquered civilization and the maternal country. A major part of this was the restriction of exportation of native resources only to the mother country as well as the banning of trading with colonies of other countries. In turn, there was an increasing in the number of smuggling activities during the time. According to a British sailor named William Taggart in 1760, the illegal smuggling of goods into these areas had a positive impact because it brought prosperity to the people in Monte Christi, as there were only one hundred poor families. Likewise, Dominica governor John Orde praised the trading because it created prices much lower than with its maternal country. However, British admiral David Tyrell, Roger Elletson, Dominica governor John Orde, and a 1790 Bahaman newspaper report all had similar views on the harmful effects and corruptness present in smuggling. Despite this, physician George Lipscomb and British Lieutenant Governor Thomas Bruce had neutral opinions on the matter, and only stated what they witnessed in the process.
What does the word “renaissance” mean? It means “rebirth” or “revival” and the Renaissance was a period of change that began around 1350 to 1700. Before the Renaissance, there was the Middle Ages which people had little education and were more religious. Then, in the 1300s there was a movement called humanism which made people more educated and drew them into arts, literature, science, and medicine in the Renaissance. In the mid-1400s the printing press was made and gave humanism have even more momentum because more people could buy books. how did the Renaissance change man’s view of the world? The Renaissance changed a man’s view of the world in three ways: emphasis on individualism, emphasis on embracing this life(yolo), and emphasis on
By the time period of 1900-1920 America was almost fully industrialized. At this time, America was going through a Gilded Age where everything looked good on the outer perspective however on the inside, there were many issues within society. The Progressive Era consisted of people who wanted to reform society politically, socially, and economically. Progressive reformers and the federal government were successful in bringing about reform at the national level by gaining some women's rights as well as African Americans trying to better their reputation in society, improving working conditions, and fixing the American economy.
The Lost Generation From sunrise to sunset, day after day, war demolishes men, cities, and hope. War has an effect on soldiers like nothing else, and sticks with them for life. The damage to a generation of men on both sides of the war was inestimable. Both the novel All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, and the poem “I Have a Rendezvous with Death,” by Alan Seeger, demonstrate the theme of a lost generation of men, mentally and physically, in war through diction, repetition, and personification. Diction is strongly used in both the novel and the poem to manipulate the thoughts of the reader and to stir up emotions.
“The South! The Poor South! God knows what will become of her now!” (Doc E) These were the last words of John C. Calhoun on March 31st, 1850. As seen from these words, the Civil War was predictable following the Mexican-American War. Although it was a great victory that almost doubled America in size, rage and fear were brought upon the nation from sectionalism, which set off the start of the Civil War. From James K Polk’s election to Southern Carolina’s succession (from the union), the nation went plummeting, no matter who tried to preserve the union (Abraham Lincoln’s main goal before Civil War was to preserve the union no matter what).
In this essay I’ll be exploring various concepts of women and will deeply criticise the way women are seen and portrayed through advertising. My primary resource I’ll be referring to throughout this essay is a book called ‘Ways of seeing’ by John Berger, which highlights the role women during the early renaissance and onwards. In addition to this I will explore the various beliefs of women from a wide range of secondary resources, and will include references from books, websites, and various images to help clarify my statements.
The reaction against the Renaissance ideals and Catholic church abuses of power brought about profound challenges to the authority of the Roman Catholic Church during this time. The rapid growth of the Reformation movement demonstrated the need for fundamental reforms within the Church. Like each one else the artist lost their faith in ordered harmony. In other to show their boarding and angrier, they come up with the new style of “Mannerism”. The work of the Mannerists was dismissed for centuries as decadent, ugly or simply weird. Mannerism wasn't taken seriously and was believed to take place because artist was mad and
A period of intellectual excitement and a word that indicates “rebirth” or “revival” is what we know today as the Renaissance era. The Renaissance period in Europe began around 1400 and lasted until approximately the 1700. Within these centuries’ countless amount of “out of the box” thinkers were born; one of these people is a man that we know today as Leonardo Da Vinci. This was the age of relearning, reevaluating, and the advancements of the human knowledge that would change the perspectives on how we look at things today. During the Renaissance, man was able to change the views of themselves through art, literature, astronomy, and anatomy.
Ok that’s fine but later on I’m going to tell you what I did since you are telling me your story. I am fully ready now go ahead and talk and I will sit here and listen to you.
Throughout the novel Pearl displays several examples of being more than just an ordinary child. Even from the beginning of little Pearl’s life the townspeople expected her to be demon-like. For an example at the end of chapter six the narrator clearly expresses “the talk of the neighboring townspeople; who, seeking vainly elsewhere for the child’s paternity, and observing some of her odd attributes had given out that poor little Pearl was a demon offspring” (91).
Yevgeny Zamyatin’s We and George Orwell’s 1984 demonstrate totalitarianism in fictional countries. Totalitarianism is a system of government that is centralized, dictatorial, and requires complete subservience to the state. A totalitarian government manipulates human consciousness by the use of propaganda that implanted dogma, that is living with the results of the Benefactor’s perspectives and Big Brothers’ theories respectively as incontrovertibly true. This overall idea of mind control over the people evinces the millennial generation which believed that will take over the world. In point of fact, people nowadays have been technologically orchestrated by those contemporary theories used by mass media. In both novels, human minds are controlled through the government's use of propaganda and conspiracy resulting in lack of freedom

Emilie and Jimmy came to the back and we all took another shot and got back in the hot tub. Only after getting all the grass off our feet. We were all just hanging out in the hot tub and one of the guys suggested that we all head back to the shower. At the shower Jimmy and Alex were standing in the water and somehow we got to blowing them. Cass, Emilie, and I all took turns blowing and making out with the guys. I did not make out with Jimmy due to the fact that he didn’t look like a good kisser. Later I found out that I was right! Jimmy sucked at kissing. As we were taking turns blowing the guys, Emilie was blowing Alex and he busted in her mouth and she just completely spit it out. Right after Alex busted, he said that he had to go. I don’t know what it was with Jimmy, but he just didn’t cum after three girls blew him. . . so yeah. I’m not sure where Kaine went, but I didn’t see him for the rest of the night. Next thing that I recall happening was cleaning up. By cleaning up I mean Jimmy got grass out of the hot tub and put the cover back on. Jimmy then grabbed the alcohol and cups. Emilie, Cass, and I grabbed our clothes and shoes. As we were on our way out Emilie and Cass are doing cartwheels in the backyard as Jimmy and I was just
Today Bassanio came up to me asking for my moneys. Later on I told him that I would lend him the moneys without any interest. I was very cautious in the repeating of his demands. Antonio is naive risking his life hoping the ships will return. I am clever because I am using this opportunity to get revenge. I made Bassanio nervous when I called Antonio a good man and they both probably knew the meaning. I'll show Antonio when his ships fail to return. Lancelot is getting on my nerves again. He is snail-slow in profit and he sleeps by day. My daughter seems to want to get out of the house and might be getting annoyed with me. I am sure that it is just a phase.
I was getting suspicious, and so I blurted out. “Can I come to your house? If not, then just tell me why. You're not trying to keep things from me are
