The interest in better video games is high in demand. The video game industry is coming out with not only better video games for people, but has also made huge improvements to their consoles. When an expected game, or game console comes out people will line up, waiting for days just to buy the new game. They wait with high anticipation as they will stand in a line with a tent or sleeping bag by their sides to keep them warm at night. After getting the game or the console consumers will sit in front of their televisions for days on end, without receiving any sleep or food. By doing this the human body starts to digest not only its own stomach, but the ability to make smart decisions slowly disappear. The subliminal violent imagery that games let kids think that it’s okay to act the same as the character in the select video game. Video games not only promote intense violence, health hazards and intervene with daily duties. Many people believe that the excessive amounts of violence in video games does not affect the minds of youths in America. Donald Trump made a statement saying, “video game violence and glorification must be stopped- it’s creating monsters!” This statement tells us that the amount of violence in video games are changing kids, causing them to change into monsters by influencing and motivating them to reenact any scene from their favorite video game. For example, in video games the gamer is rewarded each time they are able to kill another character and the more they kill the better the rewards. In real life when someone commits murder, they will not be given a reward, but a lifetime sentence in prison or the death penalty. Without guidance kids will not know that the stunts that are being attempted in video games ... ... middle of paper ... ... but instead he threw away all any of his remaining common sense to play to his grave. In conclusion, I believe that gaming is something that is fun for people of all ages, but we should not let the gaming industry show kids graphic images about people killing one another or spend days in front of the television trying to beat the game only to end up dying a few days later. Without having the basic understanding to survive anybody that is addicted to anything will start to throw away basic survival skills that is needed to survive on a day to day basis, but in reality our instinct is the only thing that is keeping is us alive in the real world. They may think that they are able to kick the addiction at any time, but since their judgment is no longer trustworthy they are possibly putting themselves on the path to becoming unhealthy human beings, or possibly death.
