Vivre-Corps Corporate offices are posh and impressive. In the middle of the room, encase in soundproof glass, is a conference room. The executive suites are placed at each corner of the room in the fairly open floor plan. Large mahogany desks for executive assistants are outside each executive's office.

OLIVIA (v.O.)

It’s 11am and I am bored to sobs. We all are.

OLIVIA CROCKTON, a vibrant redhead with multiple physical assets sits at one of these desks. She is impeccably dressed but has the air of someone who isn't entirely comfortable.

OLIVIA (V.O.)

I started this job a couple of weeks ago. I am executive assistant to the senior vice-president of vivre-corp. Sounds fancy but I haven’t met him yet. I don’t even know his full name; everyone refers to him as Parks. Just Parks. He may not even be a he. Maybe he’s a she.

Olivia smiles at a random employee who walks by.

OLIVIA (V.O.)

Other than that, everyone’s pretty nice so far. I mean, I haven’t been shunned or forced to eat my lunches alone.

flashback to:

int. cafeteria - day

Olivia is seated at a table with several other employees, having a friendly lunch.

OLIVIA (V.O.)

I’ve been hanging out with the CEO’s secretary, Dianne-

DIANNE GRAY is a middle-aged secretary. She is eating a large brownie.

olivia (v.o. con't)

-and a mail clerk named Larry.

LARRY PARKS is lanky and cute in a goofy way.

olivia (v.o.)

Larry is infinitely more interesting than Dianne because it’s easier for me to get information out of him. Dianne is the real gossip but I don’t trust her: she’s a woman. Sure, she talks too much and answers all my impertinent questions but there are question marks in her eyes. I’m close, so close i can taste it.

BACK TO PRESENT

OLIVIA (v.o....

St. Anne's is an inner city hospital but even more importantly it's a Guild hospital.

(V.O.)

Narrow minded bastard...

Olivia stops typing and looks around the room. No one else seems to have heard Henry. Mrs. Lipswitz nudges her. She begins typing again.

henry (con't)

It's part of the chain.

Henry looks over his shoulder at Olivia. Everyone else at the conference table looks at her too. Olivia looks up to see them all staring at her and gives them a polite but confused smile.

HENRY (CON'T)

Right. Larry found something troubling. But Peter's right. Larry's on it; it's probably nothing anyway. Now, on to-

(V.O.)

Later.

Olivia glances up, once again no one else has heard him.
