As a high school student I was incredibly interested in mathematics. My great enthusiasm for mathematics encouraged me to read several extra text books in various fields of mathematics. I especially enjoyed solving Mathematics Olympiad problems during high school. Spending a lot of time on various challenging problems greatly improved my self-study ability. My talent and gift in mathematics not only led me got the honors degree in the intra-country Mathematics Olympiad, but also I ranked in the upper 0.03% amongst over 400,000 participants in mathematics branch at Iran’s national university examination (Konkoor). I chose my undergraduate major to be Electrical Engineering mostly because of my interest in both mathematics and applied sciences. Due to my very good rank, I decided to study at University of Tehran, the oldest and most prestigious university in Iran, owing to its competitiveness and outstanding academic atmosphere.

I secured admission in the HKBK College of Engineering Bangalore (affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University), where I opted to study Electronics and Communication Engineering during my Bachelor’s because of the exposure that this course provides in the core electronics discipline as well as in the programming and application side. Mathematics has remained to be a much loved subject for me. It was a delight to study Engineering Mathematics for the first 4 semesters of my undergraduate course, which introduced me to the expanded application of mathematical concepts especially in engineering problems. I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. As far as I can remember I explored my propensity toward physics and mathematics at Alborz High School. My interests in Electrical/Computer Engineering came to life at the age of 16 when my father purchased my first computer. I started to practice programming concurrently with my High school programming coursework and after a while I noticed that my love in mathematics and physics played a dominant role to understand how my new friend works.
