"Interview with a Hospital Pharmacist." Job Shadow RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 03 Mar. 2014. . I chose to use an interview with a hospital pharmacist as part of my research being that this is one of the areas I’m greatly interested in. In this interview the pharmacist was asked several questions and she went into great detail with all of them, but instead of go over information I have already covered in Part II, I will focus on the parts about the pharmacists personal opinions and the salary. This pharmacist started her career by shadowing different medical field personnel until she fell in love with pharmacy. The pharmacist who the interviewee was shadowing was the director of a hospital pharmacy and gave the future pharmacist a job as pharmacy technician. What this pharmacist likes about her job is that she can still help patients get better but she doesn’t necessarily witness all the blood and guts. She also enjoys how she can work a nine to five job and is not bothered with work once she gets off. The best part about her job she says is that she can find a new one easily if she ever needed. On the other hand, what this pharmacist doesn’t like about her job is that she is constantly on the computer and always doing repetitive tasks, but she mentions that this just depends on what area of pharmacy you work in. Another aspect that the pharmacist doesn’t like about her job is that there are physicians that don’t always respect the knowledge she has a pharmacist. Next, this pharmacist tells us how she gets paid $46.50 an hour. She doesn’t clock in and out of work which only means she gets paid forty hours a week weather she worked over time or under the forty hours. ... ... middle of paper ... ...the difficulty of pharmacy school and gives advice on being prepared to work hard from the beginning to the end. Conclusion In conclusion, I have learned a great amount about my career choice while doing research for my paper. I now know what I can look forward to in my education, and know how hard I must work to finish. I also believe I have narrowed down the options of which field of pharmacy I would like to enter to three out of the several I have researched. Although each field of pharmacy all have similarities….
