Registered nurse Three years ago, I volunteer at the Florida hospital. It was a amazing experience to see how everyone was working together to save lives. Ever since then I wanted to become a registered nurse because of my compassion, and I want to care for people. I like giving advice and emotional support to others. Nursing is my passion in life. To begin with, I want to become a registered nurse because I like helping others. I mean, I don’t like seeing people in pain. I’ll do anything in my power to prevent it. According to bureau of labor statistic/ occupational outlook handbook, as a registered nurse we provide and coordinate care. They talked to patients and the public about their various health conditions. They give them advices, and help, and support them and their family members (what they do). There are nurses that have job where they don’t work with patients, but they still need to have an active registered nurse licenses. Registered nurses may work to promote general health. For example, they work by educating the public on warning signs and symptom of diseases (what they do). To continue, there are lots of things you’ll need to be able to deal with as registered nurses. For example, you will need to know how to work with other, and how to be related to certain things. As a nurse you will be working in the hospital, physician offices, home healthcare services, and nursing home care facilities. Other nurses may work in correctional facilities, schools or serve in the military (work environment). The most important thing that captures my mind of becoming a nurse is how they move frequently. I just feel as though nursing is important because nurses impact today's society. I believe it is a great service within the health profession because of the privileged position to assist in human childbirth. The word midwife means with woman. Centuries before obstetricians delivered babies, midwifes assisted women in having at home births. But it was only formally established as a profession in the early 1900’s. To me, being a nurse requires a great sense of selflessness and courage to devote your time and being to helping others. Nurses work long hours and experience straining situations for the satisfaction and fulfillment of helping others. More specifically, experiencing life and death, as well as applying your full self--emotions, knowledge, courage, and strength--takes a toil on the mind and body, but the innate satisfaction, human connections, and experiences I would be able to live through prevails over any thought of stress.
