Over time poets have transformed the way people view poetry, authors, and literary terms. American poet, Emily Dickinson created her best poems while isolating herself from society. Her poem “Wild Nights, Wild Nights” proves that she is most comfortable when alone living as a recluse. Therefore, Emily Dickinson was only able to write the adventurous poem “Wild Nights, Wild Nights” from the safety and security of her home. “She had a comfortable room. She had the time and space to write poetry.” Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was born on December 10th, 1830. She died at the age of 55 on May 15th, 1886 due to Bright’s disease. She tried to associate herself with great adventures. Her life showed signs of epilepsy. Emily Dickinson’s career lasted fairly long but she was able to create enough poems that justified her like for adventure. She slowly began to publish her poems.
