The Passion of the Christ
The Passion of the Christ is an admirable film yet very hard film for most Christian to watch without crying and having antipathy. The film brings morality seeing what Christ had done for us and what many Christians have not done for him. The Passion of the Christ central point is the vicious acts that prepared Jesus for his death. The Passion of the Christ does not display much love showed for Christ, but instead showed how evil assails the King Jesus and not elevate King Jesus like we ought too. The film commence on the prophecy, “but he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
The Garden of Gethsemane is the place we see as the movie first bring into being. As we watch this dark scene take place we can assume Jesus is praying or that Jesus is talking to himself encouraging himself to face what is about to happen. Jesus is aware of everything that is going to take place, but we have to realize that he is in human form now. We as humans can in spite of everything develop agony as we walk with Christ. In the Passion of the Christ sorrow is seen on Jesus’s face even though Jesus is also Devine. Jesus then finishes his invocations then goes to his disciples to find them sleeping. Jesus wakes Peter, James, and John and advise them to guard and invoke prayers so they could possibly avoid falling into persuasion. Judas is seen betraying Jesus just as he said one would. The film demonstrates Judas earning silver coins from the chief priest and religious rulers. Judas then completes the job he was paid for by leading the men to Jesus. ...angel removed the stone in from of the tomb. The men present was fearful as the angel spoke to the women. As they began to look for Jesus, Jesus meet them and summon them to tell those in Galilee that they would see him. Jesus ascended into heaven. There are much detail that are left out, but I wanted to cover the most vital points that lead up to the death of Jesus. The main point is that Jesus chose to do this for his people. The crucifixion is the evidence that Jesus is indeed the Messiah. The four Gospels agree that Jesus was crucified as a criminal against the Roman state (Summers, 1965)
