Muslim is a Abrahamic Religion based on Quran. Muslims believe that Quran is the original word of God that was revealed to prophet Muhammad, they also follow and practices the teachings of muhammad as recorded in traditional accounts called Hadith. “Muslim” is a word from Arabic meaning “one who submits to God” in that case sometimes they prefer calling a female muslim “Muslimah”. Before the Fifth Century BC islam was known as arabia because of the arabian peninsula that was a home on nomadic people who coped with the desert climate by migrating every season. ( Arab translation “desert dweller”). When some of the people start to publish the religion most of them choose Mecca near west coast of Saudi arabia as their home. But it the environment did not provide natural resources and other needs also the climate. But they stayed because it was the site of Ka’ba (the holiest place in Islam).
