COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO, oh no not again. COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO, I squeeze my eyes shut tighter. COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO, I open my eyes in small slithers, peering angrily at the ceiling. COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO, I rummage under the sheets and pillows for my cell phone. COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO. The crowing of my novelty rooster alarm intensifies, I can’t handle it. I can’t go on... it’s too much. Pillows and duvets fly everywhere as I franticly look for the source of the rooster din. My hand touches something cool, AH HA! My phone, I whip it out from under the pillow. It’s not my phone; it’s a fork from last night’s midnight snack. Tossing it aside I look for the source of the irritating alarm. CLUNK, I hear my phone side off the mattress onto the floor. The cock-a-doodle-doo’s are echoing against the wall. My hand plunges between the wall and my bed. I slide it from side to side, trying to find the power plug where my phone charger sit’s. Finding it I hook my finger under the cord and pull it up along with my cell phone. The bright face of Robert Downey Junior smiles at me from my lock screen. Squinting agains...
