A smartphone is a mobile phone with highly advanced features. A typical smartphone has a high-resolution touch screen display, Wi-Fi connectivity, Web browsing capabilities, and the ability to accept sophisticated applications. Smartphone's have advanced pieces of technology embedded such as having a touchscreen, being able to use GPS and downloading apps. Also a smartphone is similar to a computer as it is normally referred as a portable computer as you can take it anywhere you want as it is able to fit in someone's pocket with ease. Distraction- Smartphones are distracters, which keep consumers off-task. With a device that fits into your pocket and is able to accomplish so much, it's only natural that you're constantly checking email, sports scores, text messages, Facebook and browsing the Web. This cuts into time spent focused. Another disadvantage is the frailness of the smartphone, this means that the person will have to look after the phone and care for the phone a lot. If the phone breaks it will stress the owner out as they will have to spend money on it to repair it.
