My aspiration to pursue dance in university is one that has stemmed from years of training and experience. The knowledge that there is history and meaning behind every movement makes me feel a great sense of dignity, as well as responsibility to do the art form justice.

Dance has been an integral part of my life since I started taking ballet and tap classes at the age of three. Attending regular classes compelled me to become disciplined and committed, whilst retaining my initial enthusiastic approach. I quickly branched out to a wider range of dance styles, namely Jazz and Disco Freestyle, as well as supplementary Pilates lessons, to increase my body awareness, co-ordination and stamina. Taking yearly examinations with the RAD and ISTD Examination Boards developed my knowledge of the syllabus, demonstrating that I am capable of working competently under pressure.
