With the use and application of geospatial technology becoming increasingly common, I predict the inevitable future of GEOINT is in mobile/web applications, and the most dominant platforms will be hand-held devices such as Android, iOS, and front-end websites. The next few years will be a game changer in the sense that Web/Mobile GIS will blur the line between savvy GIS analysts and the non-GIS specialist. We are moving to a developer’s type platform rather than one specific for geospatial specialists. The gap between the novice and the expert will need to be filled with web technology such as web programming languages HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
Having participated in the Federal Geographic Data Committee, it is evident to me that more and more federal agencies desire to analyze their data from a geospatial and cartographic perspective. The desired end is not to become GIS experts but rather have a simplified set of analytic tools on mobiles and tablets in order to bring geospatial capabilities to a large number of relatively naïve geospatial users. All technologies which transition from functional to a more conventional role in society require highly skilled hybrid specialists in the early stages of that conversion. A geospatial information systems analyst with specialized skills in development will be the most advantage in future GIS industries. The next five to ten years will bring about more GIS exposure via the web and mobile devices and ordinary intelligence analysts, directors of defense agencies, and chief of staffs’ at the pentagon will be performing sophisticated geospatial analysis via interactive web-based GIS platforms and mobile devices.

Along with understanding geospatial data, being able to manage it is also as important. The building, deploying and managing of geospatial databases in the cloud is also gaining importance. I feel coursework in databases, dimensional models, and data warehousing strategies will enhance my understanding of data analytics. The ability to transform this geospatial data into actionable information to support strategic and tactical for decision makers has become an asset to national security. This coupled with my expertise in geographic information systems, geospatial intelligence, and GIS development, would give me the ability to structure large data sets to unearth hidden information to allow decision makers to build and sustain a long-term competitive advantage.

Overall, I think the scope of geoinformatics is wide and promising, with a great potential for our country. With my profile, experience and future training I am the right person to make the most of it.
The Great Gatsby, is beautifully written, and uses symbols effectively, drawing the reader in, and piquing their interest from chapter one to chapter nine. The use of color is most common in the novel, with the use of of many colors the author is able to subtly get his point across. Fitzgerald also uses locations like the Valley of Ash. Objects are used as a way to create mystery and suspense. The symbols help the reader understand the novel better by adding details that make the story more interesting.
The Great Gatsby is considered one of the best pieces of American Literature by many critics and authors. This is not because it was an interesting novel, it’s because it represented the time period well. It showed how there were many scandalous and immoral acts revolving around the major characters like Gatsby, Daisy, and Tom. These characters were shown having affairs, breaking the law multiple times, and being immoral. Colors in The Great Gatsby were extremely important because they show symbolism behind objects and characters. The color white represents impurity. Green symbolizes desirable but unattainable objects or people. Yellow is the color of death and corruption. These colors help show that impurity, wealth, and corruption can lead to the immorality of a person.
The Hunger Games was a critically acclaimed movie when it came out; however, some critics would argue that the movie can be sometimes too violent for its intended audience. In this essay I would dissert Brian Bethune’s essay “Dystopia Now” in order to find its weaknesses and compare the movie Battle Royale with his essay.
Scott Hightower’s poem “Father” could be very confusing to interpret. Throughout almost the entirety of the poem the speaker tries to define who his father is by comparing him to various things. As the poem begins the reader is provided with the information that the father “was” all of these things this things that he is being compared to. The constant use of the word “was” gets the reader to think ‘how come the speaker’s father is no longer comparable to these things?’ After the speaker reveals that his father is no longer around, he describes how his father impacted him. Details about the father as well as descriptions of the impacts the father has distraught on the speaker are all presented in metaphors. The repetitive pattern concerning the speaker’s father and the constant use of metaphors gives the reader a sense that the speaker possesses an obsessive trait. As the reader tries to interpret the seemingly endless amount of metaphors, sets of connotative image banks begin to develop in the reader’s mind. Major concepts that are expressed throughout the poem are ideas about what the speaker’s father was like, what he meant to the speaker, and how he influenced the speaker.
In the book “Why Geography Matters More Than Ever”, the author, Harm de Blij, discusses the importance of geography, how it can affect us in any place or any time, and why it matters. But most importantly, he succeeds to advance our perception of the world’s geography. Throughout the book de Blij highlights the many benefits of being educated about geography. He explains that it is important that we are informed about this topic so we can be more prepared for the events happening around the world. This book illustrates just how essential it is to be well-educated when it comes to geography.
Geographers plan new communities, decide where new highways should be placed, and establish evacuation plans. Computerized mapping and data analysis is known as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a new frontier in geography. Spatial data is gathered on a variety of subjects and input onto a computer. GIS users can create an infinite number of maps by requesting portions of the data to plot.
Now days, companies are searching for new ways of gathering data so that they can get useful data in order to make well informed decisions regarding the market they are operating in. Google analytics is considered one of the best tools offers extensive amount of data to business owners for free. However, the success of business is highly depended on how well they can arrange data and customize their collected data corresponded to their business priorities. Google analytics provides beneficial information for companies regardless of their extent of operation. Google Analytics (Location data)

GIS is an emerging method of data storage and interpretation. GIS is, simply put a database. It is many tables of data organized by one common denominator, location. The data in a GIS system is organized spatially, or by its physical location on the base map. The information that is stored in the database is the location and attributes that exist in that base map, such as streets, highways, water lines, sewers, manholes, properties, and buildings, etc. each of these items don’t just exist in the database, the attributes associated with the item is also stored. A good example of this would be a specific sewer line, from and arbitrary point A to a point B. Ideally, the sewer line would be represented graphically, with a line connecting the two points or something of the like. When one retrieves the information for that line in particular, the attribute data would be shown. This data would include the size of pipe, the pipe material, the upper invert elevation, the downstream invert elevation, the date installed, and any problem history associated with that line. This is the very gist of what a GIS system is.
For the past couple of decades the majority of businesses have wanted to construct a data-driven organization or company. Furthermore, companies around the world are considering harnessing data as a basis of competitive advantage over other companies. As a result, business intelligence and data science use are popular in many organizations today. The increase in adoption of these data systems is in response to the heavy rise in communications abilities the world over. Which, in turn ,has increased the need for data products. Indeed, the Data Scientist profession is emerging to be one of the better-paying professions due to the urgent need of their labor. This paper is going to discuss what business intelligence is all about and explain data science that is usually confused to be similar to business intelligence. I will tackle a brief overview of data scientists and their role in organizations.
The risks and rewards of such efforts being borne by regional members. Scalability of infrastructure projects can be replicated and the lessons learned can be transferred from one regional group to another until all the continent has a robust GIS infrastructure and allow less dependence from image providers Because the regional groupings are already functional dialogue, planning and implementation of GIS projects would be much easier along already established regional
The dynamics of our society bring many challenges and opportunities to the business world. Within the last decade, hundreds of jobs have emerged particularly in the technology sector to help keep up with the ever-changing world and to compete on a larger and better scale than the competition. Two key job markets and the basis of this research paper are business intelligence or BI and data mining or DM. These two fields play a very important role in small to large companies and are becoming higher desired sectors within the back offices of the workplace. This paper will explore what the meaning of BI and DM really is, how they are used and what we can expect as workers and learners of the technology and business fields for the future.
