Throughout time, there have been various civilizations, many of which are now ancient. One of the most complex and fascinating of these is that of Ancient Egypt.
Ancient Egypt is considered to be one of the most significant eras in history, due to its lengthy existence and its overwhelming contributions to the development of western civilization. You could say that Egypt provided the building blocks for Greek and Roman culture, and through them, influenced all of Western tradition. Today Egyptian imagery, concepts, and perspectives are found everywhere; you will find them in architectural forms, on money, and in our day to day lives. We are able to distinguish various elements of its culture that played a key role in its development, such as agriculture, architecture, religion, and government to name a few. Egypt 's impact on later cultures was and still is immense.
The Ancient Egyptian civilization spanned several thousand years and is one of the few societies of the time that came into being independently. “Egyptian civilization coalesced around 3150 B.C. with the unification of upper and lower Egypt under the first Pharaoh” (Dodson 46). Because of the Nile river, Egypt was able to grow and thrive. “The fertile floodplain of the Nile gave humans the opportunity to develop a settled agricultural economy and a more sophisticated, centralized society that became a cornerstone in the history of human civilization” (Shaw 17).
Hieroglyphs were known to be created after the Cuneiform sometime between 3,200 and 3,400 BCE. Symbols were drawn on the walls of the temple for decorations. Hieroglyphs are written in rows and in columns, they can be read from left to right as well as can be read from right to left. Since the hieroglyphic inscriptions are in temples and in tombs, the writing in created by painters, sculptors, and craftsmen are in the plaster. Papyrus scrolls are created with a fine reed pen onto smooth surfaces. Hieratic handwriting was used on a day to day use for business, in which pictures were abbreviated as point of abstraction. There are three different versions of the scripts, for religious documents, for literature, and for private letters. Another type of script, called demotic was created for a more abbreviated version. Hieroglyphs and demotic continued be used until 400
Egypt was one of the first River Valley Civilizations. In Egypt there were big advances in art, math and science and also pottery. We still use the same number system and they even had fractions back in that time. During the Old Kingdom times the pyramids were built. The pyramids were tombs for the pharaohs of Egypt. These pyramids are one of the most popular historical sites in the world.
Ancient Egypt was a civilization of rich culture, advanced techniques, and societal prosperity. Depending heavily on the Nile River for its resources, Egypt often found itself with an abundance of crops. This surplus was much to thank for the peace among Egypt’s society, without the lack of material, there was no need for disputing among themselves or other civilizations. Egypt was well organized, and utilized a monarchical government system that was influenced by their religious ideals and beliefs, as well as implementing roles for women in the society. The success of Ancient Egypt took hold for many years, and grew to become a model for the surrounding societies and groups.
There have been many prosperous civilizations throughout the history of the world. Many of them became very large, and lasted for a countless number of years. The most successful and large scale civilization, however, was that of Ancient Egypt. Although it lies in the middle of the largest desert in the world, egyptians were able to use their intelligence to utilize the Nile River and cultivate the surrounding land for farming. They came up with very unique conceptual ideas that benefitted them greatly, and discovered many new things that would impact society around the world to this day. For all of these reasons and many more, Ancient Egypt was the most advanced civilization of its time.
Both of these kingdoms had their own religions. When the two kingdoms became one many of the religious beliefs and cultures were combined. The Egyptian civilization lasted over 3,000 years and during this time many of the beliefs and customs changed. The people of ancient Egypt were also influenced by their main source of life, which was the Nile River. The Nile gave them water for growing crops, drinking, sailing and
The civilization of Ancient Egypt was one of the earliest in world history. Its timeline spans from 3000B.C to 31 B.C before it was annexed by the Roman Empire. During that period a lot of art was made that still remains to this day. Mostly statues and reliefs where made for religious purposes either for divine or deceased recipients and so not made to be seen. Ancient Egyptian art is five thousand years old. It emerged and took shape in the ancient Egypt, the civilization of the Nile Valley. It was highly symbolic and fascinating - this art form revolves round the past and was intended to keep history alive. Through these depictions historians have seen how the civilization changed and evolved; which has made it one of the most

The basic construction of a PV cell is simple. According to Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), a PV cell is usually in squared shape cell approximately ten centimeters on a side (2009). Because this cell generates a very small amount of power, which is less than two watts, PV cells are gathered jointly as one part. These grouped parts are assembled into large panels coated with anti-reflection glass or plastic in order to absorb light and to prevent the panels from the weather. These coated panels can be used as large units or arrays.
When I lived in Arizona about seven years ago, I attended a school named Cottonwood Middle School. This school implemented solar technology over a parking lot by putting a structure that is above the cars to provide shade and also a place to hold solar panels. This saved a lot of money for the school and the school district due to utilizing solar technology to the fullest. This started when I was in six grade I only my middle school, but then a progressed and to all of the schools in the district. This included a kindergarten through third-grade school, an elementary school and also a high school in Cottonwood, Arizona (Tracey). This was the first time I have ever seen a solar panel in use, and I know it was used effectively to benefit money by utilizing renewable resources to the max. Solar energy is described as radiant energy that comes from the sun and it is called solar technology, which uses it as energy to power almost anything. Solar technology is an important factor of renewable energy and it could be
