With technology so easily accessible a new phenomenon has risen, Cyberbullying. Unlike Traditional forms of bullying this takes place through text messages, emails, social media, etc. Phones and tablets are constantly stuck at the palms of our hands, cyberbullying can have Bruising effects too Adolescents growing up in this generation. One of the biggest reasons this has become such a problem in today’s society is because anybody can stay anonymous. They can hide behind their computer and say whatever they’d like without thinking of the Consequences Behind their actions.
There are many physiological and emotional effects that can come from being Cyberbullied. Victims can suffer from distress, anger and sadness. Unlike traditional bullying, Cyberbullying can occur At home taking away the only safe place the victim may have causing Those to have an inescapable Feeling like there are no way out of your problems. A prime example of a cyberbullying case that made Headlines not too long ago was the suicide of a 15 year old Girl named Amanda Todd. While in a chat Room a stranger convinced Amanda to show her Breasts on camera. This individual found out everything about her, where she lived, her friends, her family and even her school. A fake Facebook was then created showing her nude photos Online for all her peers to see. No matter what Amanda did whether it was switching schools up To three different times or moving to a different city to try to start fresh the harassment never stopped. It drove Amanda to commit suicide on October 10, 2012. While I Left many, many Details out of this her story can go on-and-on. Even though she got help from Counselors and was on medication to help depression nothing was enough. The harassment this chil...

.... If you were them you would want someone to intervene and help you. If you want to step in but feel like your own safety could possibly be at risk immediately talk to a counselor, teacher or an adult you trust. Taking smaller steps by reporting what you see online or talking to the victim and encouraging them to seek help can make all the difference.
Cyberbullying is a very serious topic that should never be taken lightly. It’s a very big problem that the younger generation has to deal with and can’t seem to get away from. The effects are never good for anyone involved and it will lead to nothing but wretchedness. Prevention is the key, putting an end to this and raising awareness can make a huge impact for the victims involved. Make sure you can always have an adult you can trust and confide in to help put a stop to cyberbullying. Many people can’t do it alone.
