1.Introduction In the first of May , 2014 we level 1 s2b3 students of the civil engineering program , Caledonian College of Engineering organized a site visit to a building which is still under construction located at West of Muscat city (AL Seeb – AL Hail) which is known as ( The wave Muscat) , it takes about twenty (20) kms of land . The Wave project uses about 2.5 million square meters of land which involves 600,000 square meters of the reclamation. In addition, the project takes along wonderful and amazing 6 km stretch of coastline. The Wave, Muscat is also home to the 400 berth " Almoj Marina", which considered Oman’s largest private yachting hub . unfortunately the wave project is not completed until now, they believe it will be completed by 2015 , …show more content…

Secondary elements: 6.1 Finishes There are many factor to be considered when dealing with the finishes like fire resistance , hygiene factors , freedom from slipperiness , thermal stability , durability , thermal insulation , absorption or light reflection , resistance to condensation and moisture , and impact resistance . finishes is usually classified as : dry finishes , self finishes , wet finishes which has two type also : floor and walls finishes . 6.1.1 Floor finishes A screed in one of floor finishes it is has 1:3 or 1:4.5 ration of cement to course aggregate. There are three type of screed: first of all, monolithic; it is for floor it is used when the concert in the floor is still wet or plastic .second type is bonded; it uses to avoid the cracking and shrinkage. Third type is unbounded. Also there are other type of floor finishes is pitch mastic and mastic asphalt, brick flooring and granolithic. 6.1.2 Walls and ceiling
