Bullying is undesirable, antagonistic manner among school going children that involves a real alleged power discrepancy. The power imbalance comes about because the bullies uses their physical strength, their power, embarrassing information, obnoxious language, or their reputation to control or maltreat other kids. The bullies are prone to recap the behavior over time. The act for bullying is agonizing because those bullied are long affected by the act and may live in fear in their life. Issues have arisen whether the bully should receive a special form of punishment at a particular age because just like the other offenses bullying should be punishable.
There are two types of kids who are more likely to bully others. People that are well-connected to their peers, have social power, are overly concerned about their popularity, and like to dominate or be in charge of others. The other group is the victim; these people are threatened, or attacked by the bullies. These people are probably experiencing bullying every day. Most probably, they are afraid of the bullies.
There are 3 people involved in the bullying, the victim which is the person who is being bullied and the actual bully who is causing the abuse and the last person involved is they bystander is a person who sees the bullying happening. Lots of times bullying makes the victim feel bad about themselves and they start to believe the things the bully is saying about them are true. Most of the time the bully is just looking for attention and they want to be noticed. They want to make themselves seem more important. Some bullies may even come from bad families and that’s what makes them act the way... ... middle of paper ... ...ey are not concentrated and are afraid what the bully will do or say to them.
Bullying is causing young innocent kids to do horrible things to themselves. The bullies aren't even giving the kids they are harassing a chance to show them what they are really like. The bullies judge them on what they look like, their race, religion, and who they hang out with. “Two of the main reasons people are bullied are because of appearance and social status.” (www.kidshealth.org). I just want to know why the bullies do the things they do.
Bullying is a very bad problem in our society now days especially in our schools. There is two different ways of bullying direct and indirect bullying the difference between the two is simple. Direct Bullying is physical altercations, threatening and intimidating gestures. There are also levels of bullying including mild moderate and severe. Some mild examples are threatening with a weapon and inflicting body harm.
In fact bullying is a serious matter that we as a society must confront and strive to abolish. Since bullying can occur in a variety of ways, one must first understand its nuances to recognize that bullying is taking place and then realize the gravity of bullying. Bullying affects an entire community of kids. A single student who bullies can have a wide-ranging impact on the students, not only the bully and his or her victim. A single bully can have a wide-ranging impact on the student who observe bullying, and the overall climate of the school and community.
In some cases students feel they must take actions into their own hands which ultimately could end fatal. Bullying has evolved into a monster with many heads. There are many different types of bullying “traditional bullying is any type of bullying that is carried out through non-electronic means” (Differences between Cyberbullying and Traditional Bullying). Examples of non-electronic bullying are verbal, physical, and social bullying. Traditional bullying is what most parents think of when bullying is proposed.
Examples of physical bullying are hitting, pushing, tripping, slapping, spitting, or stealing or destroying possessions. Effects of physical bullying are things such as: withdr... ... middle of paper ... ...hout the corse of their life. Bully's are likely and tend to have children who then will grow up to be bullies, and the victims tend to have children who will grow up to be victims. Bullying is a cyclical problem, which is the reason as to why it impacts society as a whole, in addition to just individuals (Verial). Things have to be done to prevent bullying in schools in order for society to overcome this fast growing problem.
Others believe that bullying is just students causing pain to their peers. To me, bullying is putting others down to make the bully feel better; it is causing unnecessary pain for unacceptable reasons. There are many types of bullying. The most common type is verbal. Verbal bullying includes threats, name calling, and taunting.
Verbal bullying comes in the form of name calling and unwanted remarks. Physical bullying comes in the form of pushing, striking, kicking, and the use of anything to inflict physical harm. Verbal and physical bullying can and will be used together in order to inflict more damage to the victim. Relational bullying is agreed to be the most harmful to adolescent children in education. Relational bullying consists of the manipulation of relationships by individual bully’s and groups.
