South Western High School should allow the use of book bags throughout the school day. First, book bags would be more efficient than spasmodic locker stops through the day. If the student has their bag with them, they will have everything they need for the day. It will cut down on students having to leave class to salvage items they’ve left in their locker. It also makes it easier for students whose lockers are at the far ends of the building. Furthermore, it will be less of a muddle in classrooms. Yes, teachers may complain “But I’ll trip over the bag walking through my classroom,” but they really won’t. Students can put their bags in baskets underneath the desks. Well why can’t they do this with their binders? They can, but some binders don’t fit, or things are always falling out. Instead of having debris on the floors from student materials, students can put their materials in their bags. The room would be less messy, you won’t have student debris over the floor, and it’ll be easier to move around. Most importantly, gym bags are an issue. The lockers are all kinds of sizes in thi...
This estimate does not surprise me at all because when I think about all the work that we have to do I remember all the textbooks that we have to carry around. In addition sometimes I come home with my back aching, but that’s usually only when I carry my USHAP notebook with me as well
First, allowing students to carry backpacks throughout the school day would save everyone time. Since backpacks have multiple compartments, they allow students to carry learning materials like textbooks, calculators, binders, and writing utensils. Students can use backpacks to transport laptops inside dedicated sleeves. As a result, students would waste less time at their lockers searching through debris for assignments and missing homework. Teachers, too, will welcome backpacks when they no longer have to squander valuable minutes writing locker passes. Less locker stops will reduce hallway congestion, expediting travel between classes. Without wasting the teacher’s precious minutes, students can get a drink of water, go to the bathroom, or take care of personal hygiene needs. . Even custodians will appreciate the practicality of backpacks when they are no longer interrupted from their busy jobs to unjam a muddled locker because of cumbersome coats and binders.
The school locker is usually the only private space available to a student in the environment of the school. So it focuses many of the main issues involved in privacy of the students. The 4th Amendment of the US Constitution states “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the person or things to be seized.”
How you act and how you represent yourself to the world is how people look at you ,for this point leads to the way ,how people treat each other in the world today.in the world today , people tend to judge ,you on just about anything thing you do. People look at a person and judge them on what they do,just cause they do it.we never ask ourselves does he or she like what they're doing or why does he or she act how they act. There are reasons for this.
Ever since I was a child, I've never liked reading. Every time I was told to read, I would just sleep or do something else instead. In "A Love Affair with Books" by Bernadete Piassa tells a story about her passion for reading books. Piassa demonstrates how reading books has influenced her life. Reading her story has given me a different perspective on books. It has showed me that not only are they words written on paper, they are also feelings and expressions.
Harry Potter should not be banned from school libraries. Taking it from schools would not stop students from reading it. Even though it was not at the school. It would be at the public library. They also could barrow it from a field of family members or friends. Finally, they could just go online and read or buy it.
Richard Wright, in his essay “Discovering Books,” explains how reading books changed his outlook on life and eventually his life itself. The first book that widened his horizons was an overtly controversial book by H. L. Mencken. I have a story not so dissimilar from his.
In this day and age where school administrators consider backpacks, lockers, and baggy pants to be potential dangers to students and faculty, what will be next? Perhaps pencils, pens, scissors, and glue will be added to the list of items to ban from schools. These, along with other hazardous educational necessities pose real threats to maintaining an orderly school and should be prohibited.
Young naive love is pure. The vulnerability that comes with it is an awakening when it finally ends. “Paradise Cafe” written by Martha Brooks, is a coming of age short story about Lulie, a fifteen year old girl who deals with the challenges of first love. While “Plastic Bag”, a short film by American director Ramin Bahran, follows the life of a plastic bag and what happens after his “maker” deems him useless. Both stories question the problems and feelings we have growing up, using the perspective of two young and naive teenagers and presenting with it the struggles that come with first love.
Many people in this school usually rush to a school because they live far away or woke up late. By rushing we may forget to bring something, like our own lunches. By bringing a food cart our students won't skip eating for the school day. We can by our food from the food cart, this is also useful if someone skips breakfast. I also have forgotten my lunch before and my mom had to bring it even though she was at work. Please consider bringing a food cart in so the people that forget to bring their lunches or never ate breakfast can feel good for the rest of the day.
When I go to school, there is always one thing that is essential to me being successful, it’s not my brain or my clothes, but it’s my big, heavy, and ugly looking backpack. My backpack carries 6 folders filled with papers, 5 notebooks all with 100 pages each, my slow and useless chromebook, all my mechanical pencils, pens, calculator lunch, and most importantly 3 heavy textbooks. After carrying this bag for 7 hours I feel what it's like now for camels to carry a human, not fun. Even though carrying this heavy bag is dreadful to deal with, oddly enough it is not the worst thing I have to carry during the school day. Adults sometimes ask me how is that possible, and I just tell him you’ll see.
The non-traditional text that was selected is title, “The Paper Bag Princess”, author by Robert Munsch, and illustrated by Michael Martchenko. It’s telling the story about princess planning to marry for Prince and living a happily ever life.
Instead of slick little bags, I prefer big bags with top handle. I can put everything in it and carry it everywhere. For the same reason, I prefer to put things together and solve them at once.
I do not remember any time in my life, when I was not aware of books. My earliest memory is of my uncle telling me a story about a wicked dragon, which steals a treasure, and the group of heroes, who go to confront him in battle. He used to tell me this story in sequels, a small amount every week, so by the time next week came up, I would be totally waiting in anticipation. It was when I started reading myself, that I realized that he had been retelling Tolkien's "The Hobbit". To this day "The Hobbit" is one of my favorite books, I read it to bring back memories of my child hood, when I’m depressed, or when I plain don’t have anything else to read.
DO YOU THINK BOOKS ARE STILL A RICH SOURCE OF INFORMATION IN THE TIME OF ELECTRONIC MEDIA?
