Statement of Purpose
The most important thing I have learned after leaving university, is perhaps to be open-minded. Keeping an open-mind helped me build friendships with people all over the world, made it easier for me to understand other culture's values and ethics. It also gave me courage to make the decision to return to formal education and get a degree in a field that I am passionate about.
Communication, especially on a global scale has long been an endless source of fascination for me. It is a diverse subject that serves as a gateway to understanding humanity. A beautiful tool that helps people to converse and create collaborations on a global level. Communication is a human phenomenon that can be exciting, demanding, sanguine, and at times challenging. With the correct interpretation of cultural codes and standards, coordination among different cultures can be improved. This is one of the many reasons I am passionate about studying International Communication.
