Oracle was founded by Lawrence Ellison in 1997. Larry Ellison, who is now 69 years old was born August 17th, 1944 in Bronx, New York. He studied at the University of Chicago, but later dropped out. Using the principals of Computer programming he learned in Chicago, Larry moved to Berkeley, California and for about eight years he jumped from job to job working as a technician for places like Fireman’s Fund and Wells Fargo bank. The co-founders of Oracle are Robert Miner and Ed Oates, who joined Larry in 1977 and founded Software Development Labs. Later in 1978 they won a two year contract to build a relation database management system for the CIA for a project name: Oracle, which they finished a year ahead of schedule. Little did they know that their company would develop into being the leader of database software.
Oracle was founded in California, which is the most popular state in the United States. Oracle’s original headquarters was in Santa Clara but they later moved to a new building on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park. The company also changed their name to RSI (Relational Software Inc) in an attempt to explain what their company does, but in 1982 they changed their name to the Oracle Systems Corporation.

Google achieved popularity very quickly in 1999 it served 500,000 queries a day. Today Google continues to be the world’s most popular search engine, Google’s revenue is 16,858.00 it increased 17% in the last year, and has around 24,400 around the world and its stock price is 545.73.
