Experts estimated that by 2014, smart-phones would be able to provide quality, graphics intensive, console like multilayer gaming. This is an overview of where we are at and what we can easily expect with upcoming titles set for 2014.
As slim as these amazing devices are they are able to provide console like gaming already! Alas, there are thousands of apps out there each catering to there own specific niche many of which aren't graphics intensive, but there are some titles that set the standard and push smart-phones to it's limit, providing a level of gaming similar to familiar released blockbuster console titles.

In this Paper I will be talking to you about the Next Generation Consoles and about all of their specifics. Next Generation Consoles are the newest and the best consoles and computers out there at this point in time. The consoles that will be my main focus in this paper are the, Xbox One and the PS4. The reason I picked these consoles instead of other consoles or computers is because I wanted to explain to you that these console were just not any other console, but a work of art instead.

Ever experienced a video game with stunning in-game graphics that some games give only in their major event cut scenes? Ever played a game with an excellent mixture of strategy and fast-paced motion? Well if that game is Final Fantasy 13, a single player game developed by Square Enix, you have played a game that Gaming Age calls “one of the most gorgeous games to grace a video game console”. Playing this game was one of the greatest moments of my life. This game has actually influenced me to go full force in wanting to make video games for a living. Final Fantasy 13, in my opinion, has accentuated the great gaming potential of the Xbox 360® and Playstation® 3 consoles.

In the past, the kind of technology that we had to develop video games was just something really simple such as GoldSrc which was a game engine used internally by Valve Software to create a video game called Half-Life. We did not have anything advanced like Cryengine 3 or Frostbite 3 to create some currently well-known known games that have realistic looking graphics such as Crysis 3 or Battlefield Hardline. This brought upon a major change in communication and gave leeway to the improvement of the telephone in the days to come (Bellis, 2013b). During the 20th century there were many innovations regarding the telephone. In 1973, the first call from a portable phone was made Martin Cooper, who was a Motorola researcher and executive at the time. Since its inception, the advancement of cell phones has been exponential (Bellis, 2013a). As a result, cell phones have changed how society works in today's world. Many people lack the insight of how cell phones, or in this case, smart phones, affect the people that use them. So the question is, how is the evolution of smart phones impacting our society?
