“The value of higher education is to make men aware of what was and what is, to incite them to probe into what might be.” Otto Keppler Mechanical Engineering is an innovative and research oriented field, the broad and diversified application of this branch always fascinated me. I had always wanted to be a part of this field and be able to contribute to the same. The more I learnt about Engineering Management in my under graduation, the more certain I became that a career in this path suits me. Further, I believe that a master’s degree in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering would provide enough opportunities to add to my intellectual knowledge and would be my first step towards creating something innovative and novel During my under graduation, I incorporated a solid foundation in the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering and Management subjects that instilled a lot of enthusiasm and passion in me. My hankering for Robotics made me to attend workshops on Robotics and which taught me about wired and automated programmed robots.
Being born in a family of engineers and my father being an entrepreneur for a pharmaceutical firm has been one of the fuelling factors for me to take up Chemical Engineering as a career. Right from my school, I had a strong bent for Mathematics and Allied Sciences, which proved decisive in choosing a career in Engineering. By a quirk of fate I found myself in the area where I longed to be. During my college studies I always had an enthusiasm in observing the practical application of the subjects that I studied. My undergraduate studies had me exposed to a wide range of subjects in Chemical Engineering like Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Transport Phenomena, Process Modeling and Simulation.
At once, I developed a predilection for subjects like electrical engineering in 1st yr to subjects like electronic devices & circuits, network theory, digital circuits, linear electron... ... middle of paper ... ...suited my requirements. I believe, that the Department of Electrical Engineering, would nurture and enhance my career growth. It would be a great privilege for me if I get an opportunity to get guidance from **** in a research study on Embedded Systems and Robotics which is my area of interest. Further, Not only the course curriculum is very rich and flexible but also the interdisciplinary articulation of the masters program would allow me to choose courses from different faculty such as in computer engineering and control systems. Also the elective courses in the curriculum would provide me the convenience to concentrate in my area of interest.I hope, after analyzing my complete profile, if you consider me and give me an opportunity to be a part of the globally prestigious ***university, it will definitely help me in achieving my goals and in my overall development
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The ensuring statement of purpose is meant to put forth my aspiration to pursue my career through Masters in Mechanical Engineering at your esteemed university, as well as description of my plans subsequent to my graduation. I have a great compulsion towards practical industrial work environment and therefore I wish to pursue graduation study. Right from my schooling I have shown keen interest in mathematics and physics that enhanced quantitative and analytical skills in me. This strength enabled me to secure 84.8% in 10th class. I passed my senior secondary school with 85%.
Professors affiliated to the Institute for NanoBioTechnology produces many interesting works in the interdisciplinary area between material and biomedical science, such as quantum dot tracking and I am interested in expanding my knowledge into the field. I am fascinated by Prof. Tim Mueller’s work Screening of candidate materials by simulating their properties with computer algorithm Addressing the problem of simulating the properties of nanoparticles with innovative method such as machine learning. Having worked as a TA during college also offers me a preview of life graduate school and teaching career. In conclusion, I believe that my academic excellence and extensive research experience makes me an ideal candidate in your program.
I envision myself as an innovator who can merge passion and compassion to develop technological solutions that will transform lives and benefit the society. In my high school days, I found chemistry to be the most intriguing subject. I liked Organic Chemistry, particularly the mechanisms of chemical reactions. As time progressed, I understood that chemistry and physics formed the basis of science and technology, and mathematics is a tool required to model these sciences. My love for chemistry and physics greatly influenced my decision to choose Chemical Engineering as my major for undergraduate studies.
With my intentions firmly in place to gather both sound knowledge and expertise in the field of Computer Science at the Master’s level, I am on the look out for the best education I can avail in CS at this phase. I am intrigued, deeply fascinated and motivated by the latest trend for convergent sciences and technical developments. This has made technical applications even more versatile and utilitarian in the world. With the fact that pure sciences are now blurring and finally being accepted as one seamless search for truth, it is also undergoing major upheavals and changes on the educational front. Motivation and inspiration from biological examples are being taken and re-invented in the technical areas using major contributions from the computer chip and software sciences.
I love changes and challenges because they stimulate me to advance and evolve. As an immigrant, I enjoy discovering new things and have overcome many problems. As the first generation college student, I take honor courses, maximize my workload, and participate in academic competitions. I firmly believe that it is vital for individuals to be able to adapt new enviornment and overcome challenges. I look forward to transferring to a four-year university toenjor a more academically competitive enviornment and participate in scientific research projects.
Statement of Purpose My research interests stem from the fact that engineering mechanisms and concepts have always fascinated me and urged me to explore the mechanical world. Every part of this technology rich world is made up of elements which come under the roof of mechanical engineering. My intent has been clear right from my first year of under graduation and it was to do research and specialise in the field of automotive engineering. My first leap towards this goal was my preference to do mechanical engineering in one of India’s top rated private universities. It awes me when I see engineers with grease all over the body, though for many it may seem weird.
In addition to instilling the predictable reverence for hard work and dedication, my university experience served as an exposition on my desire to do independent scientific research. I found research to be especially pervasive in Cornell where some of the top professors in the US work. In bearing witness to this phenomenon of scientific research, I became an ardent researcher myself, and was therefore quite happy to learn that LiDAR remote sensing data is available online. I am especially inspired by the contribution that LiDAR makes to the scientific community, combining physics with atmospheric and earth science, courses I would like my own studies to follow. I am also interested, should I participate in DR. CAROLT... ... middle of paper ... ... systems, corresponding well with SFSU’s encouragement technological knowledge.
